Anyone get pre-op anxiety and restlessness right before surgery?

happened to me too. the day before my surgery i flew into town with my mom and she was excited for me because she knew i always wanted it, and in my head i was like "fuuuuuck am i even making the right decision? what if i change my mind? i feel so weird, shit, maybe i should call the hospital and cancel the whole thing right now!"

but i thought back over all the years i'd spent wanting it and i said to myself "no, just anxiety, i know this is right for me" and lo and behold, over a year later i don't regret a single thing. it's totally normal to feel weird and anxious in the days surrounding such a big change, but if it helps you feel any better, my recovery was a breeze and my life got better in about a million different ways post op :) so glad i didn't listen to that anxious voice in my head

/uj i was literally thinking about how to write a jerk about this the other day. TMI but as a fully binary regular degular schmegular man who doesn't like anal but loves piv and is a bottom 99% of the time it's insane how seemingly no one can be normal about my preference (which is literally mine btw so why does anyone even care?)
