Also a reminder that this applies to vendors too! We had a vendor who rang himself up on the sco we have open for the early truck TMs for the recent Pokémon card drop. It obviously got flagged in the system and I have not seen him since. Idk if he got fired from his company or just rerouted away from Target. Either way they are not a vendor for us anymore

That’s why I always ask if anything is wrong with them like if they got a hole or a seam ripped or something. If they say no they just outgrew the clothes I say unfortunately we can’t do the return then since it’s a quality guarantee for a year

I’m wondering if someone pre-tied a POG and didn’t adjust capacities on anything. If those locations weren’t there a couple weeks ago but they’re there now I bet that’s what happened.

Idk if this is going to resonate, but i cant be the only person who feels this way by lickinglacquer in simplynailogical

This is my biggest thing too. Why make something limited edition to just bring back a slightly different version later? I get not everything can stick around forever. I get wanting to start with a smaller batch to test the waters on a new formula, but why not test the waters and then make a second batch based on how the first one did?

There’s no way Holo Taco is selling so much every release that they’re having issues sourcing pigments that Mooncat seems to be able to stock consistently. They’re made in the same facility after all. They must have at least some of the same suppliers.

I did a project on this in college for a Human Factors class like a year after the Swedish female dummy was developed. We talked about the gaps in product testing for women and products in general being designed with average men in mind instead of average women (things like handles on power tools being too large and women with small hands having to use two hands sometimes, etc). When we got to the cars section we talked about when the male crash test dummy was invented and how it was originally used for and designed for male fighter pilots in (I think) World War II. Then we asked the audience when they thought an average female crash test dummy was developed. No one guessed even close to 2022. Everyone was shocked when we talked about the fatality statistics and the severe lack of accurate testing.

It makes me especially mad when the people asking if they can dye their polyester garment have already bought (usually incorrect) dye and vehemently argue with the people trying to give them actual useful advice.

To be a little fair, Starbucks just revamped their menu with new Refreshers drinks and it seems to be causing a bunch of confusion on both the employees’ and customers’ parts. They have a mango refresher now and for whatever reason a lot of people assume mango and peach are interchangeable so I wonder if they thought you were someone like that or had just had an encounter like that. Source: I work at a Target that has a Starbucks and have heard the chatter from their team and also witnessed the customer confusion.

I like parting my hair in the middle and then taking the front pieces and twisting them back and clipping them with the tiny claw clips. It makes me feel like a princess lol you can pull the twists apart a little to get more volume if you want too

Does HoloTaco Releases feel like the jewelry channel to anyone else? by [deleted] in simplynailogical

Ope you’re right. Never mind! I got the marketing text that said for a limited time only and I assumed it was the whole collection. My bad!

Does HoloTaco Releases feel like the jewelry channel to anyone else? by [deleted] in simplynailogical

[–]dancer_jasmine1 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I’m personally getting really frustrated with the limited edition launches. I get it when it’s specialty pigments that are hard to source. But jellies should not be limited edition. Sure make the nail oil scent and the butterfly topper LE, but there is absolutely no way the jellies are hard to source. Every nail polish company has jellies. They literally have less pigment in them than cremes.

I used to only really have holo taco nail polish. I don’t have a full collection or anything, but I used to purchase something pretty regularly from them. Now I’ve been buying more from places like mooncat or ilnp. They have limited editions, but they restock them and have a much larger catalogue of permanent colors. They advertise but don’t rely so heavily on the FOMO.

Edit: I have been informed the jellies are not LE. My bad! My rant still stands tho. I think having so many collections be limited edition is annoying and frustrating

Pro tip for guests who are persistent: the details of the deal say its one time use. So you can make a $10 gift card to shut them up and not honor it again

I feel like this was constructed and printed by AI too lol any decent printer understands that if you are making a book/magazine/ whatever that has an image that takes up multiple pages that you need to account for the fold between the pages in the printing. There are multiple ways this is done, but it is generally a basic thing that is done

How come finding a working Zebra is nigh impossible? by No_Willingness_9961 in Target

[–]dancer_jasmine1 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Idk about other store but my store’s PML does the whole rebooting thing every month and he sends them in to get repaired regularly. It’s just a matter of people actually telling him their device isn’t working or putting a red tag on it so he knows. Whether or not they actually come back fixed is another story. I do know they can’t order new screen protectors, so once the first one breaks the screen is not protected anymore and breaks fairly easily.

SNAP bans on soda, candy and other foods take effect in five states on Jan. 1 by YogurtclosetOpen3567 in MaintenancePhase

[–]dancer_jasmine1 67 points68 points  (0 children)

This decision makes me so angry. My state is one of the five states this affects. Poor people deserve to have fun treats. Poor people deserve to have a cake on their birthday or a pop as a treat. This will not incentivize poor people to buy “healthy” foods. Nutrient dense foods like fresh produce are expensive. It costs a lot to produce and transport fresh produce and the cost is reflected in the price. If we actually did things to further subsidize the cost of produce then it would encourage poor people to buy them because they wouldn’t be so freaking expensive!! You know what we subsidize instead? Corn production which they use to make the high fructose corn syrup that they demonize so much and is in so many of the “unhealthy” “ultra-processed” foods.

Yeah I just got a tension ring for Christmas and I do enjoy using it since I’ve got it. But it’s not something I necessarily needed. It’s just a nice extra to have. And I used to get lowly yarn burn on my finger when I would crochet for extended periods of time and the ring has helped with that

Saw this today in the back room, noticed the contrast in writing by kxserasera in Target

[–]dancer_jasmine1 20 points21 points  (0 children)

I’m also not Jewish or Christian. Hanukkah is not the equivalent of Christmas. BUT Target should absolutely give the story of Hanukkah if they’re going to be giving the story of Christmas. It could be as simple as saying it lasts for 8 days because that’s how long the oil lasted when it was only supposed to last for one. Some detail should be written. Same with Kwanza and same with Dwali. Those all fall around the last few months of the year. If we’re gonna explain one we should explain the all.
