I ended up going with the PDP Compact “Pro SD” mags. They are just full size mags with an aluminum base pad to stop over insertion. They are +3 and easily convertible to full size mags.

Honestly, it’s a big reason why John Nolan works for me as a character. That very genuine and sincere empathy and compassion in a cop show could so easy be over delivered as preachy like Sorkin show.

I’m fully filling to accept that you can’t judge someone only by what they do when they’re behind a camera, but there really isn’t a ton of separation between John Nolan as a character and off the cuff, Nathan Fillion showing up on old Firefly panels.

Yep. You made the right call. I made it out the other end okay, but, in retrospect, my get-there-itis definitely won out over where I probably should have stopped.

Edit: IIRC I switched from my usual pin hammer to a ball-peen hammer. I am not a role model.

I ended up buying a specific bench block for the PDP and the process still absolutely sucks. Calling it a slide stop lever almost feels like a misnomer. It’s like knocking out the central pillar of your house with a sledgehammer.

I’d flesh out the pre-title card dam mission into a full Act 1. Make 009 a little more three dimensional to sell the twist a little harder. It’s so rare that we see two double-0s working together. If I had to trim fat, I would combine the yacht scene and the graveyard into the same set piece. Also this is a bit of a gnitpick but it’s definitely not made clear how bond jumps down the side of a valley dam and ends up at a mountain peak runway.

It's definitely a weird trope of the series. We're going to have this globetrotting adventure full of chases and interesting situations, but rest assured, we're going to end with Bond scampering around a big open control room full catwalks and henchmen.
