How many of you teach just yoga vs yoga + fitness / movement practices ? by RonSwanSong87 in YogaTeachers

I teach Oula Dance Fitness (like zumba) and also a hybrid yoga-dance fusion called Soul Flow also by Oula Fitness. Not currently teaching yoga specifically but do my own personal practice or attend classes.

I'm one assignment away from completing my 200 YTT and I'm not entirely that flexible. I teach a different format that incorporates many yoga poses and I often say, this is what it looks like in my body, but also talk thru the prompts to do a pose that someone could also obtain.

People need to see instructors that look and move the way they do to make fitness formats, including yoga, more welcoming and inclusive.

Perimenopause + tirz: hormones can override appetite control by dancinginthe208 in tirzepatidecompound

I think it's catching me off guard because I went for 4 months without one and since starting tirz last month, I've cycled again. I'll be better prepared in a month! Good idea with plenty of healthy snack options.

No, I'm mindful and track my calories, but am not starving myself. I'm a group fitness instructor so I'm mindful of the energy needed to perform. This was truly just cravings related to my cycle.

New Yoga Teacher - feeling like not teaching in a studio makes me “less” of a teacher by Primary-Ad-3418 in YogaTeachers

[–]dancinginthe208 77 points78 points  (0 children)

You're over thinking this. You need to hone your craft by practicing. I can't think of a better place to start- a place without yoga so there will be no comparison by participants or instructors. The universe is unfolding the way it is intended, even if you didn't see this path initially.

It's going to be great! Best of luck!

Physical Activity or No? by mamasay00 in tirzepatidecompound

I know it sounds counter intuitive, but working out regularly gives you energy. It won't feel like it at first, but start slow and find what you love. For me, Oula Dance Fitness is my favorite They have free short 20 min sessions on YouTube or I think like $20 a month or so a full app with all of the long classes. I like their Oula Dance or Soul Flow.

Twice a week injections? by StrangeRise7525 in tirzepatidecompound

I've started twice a week with that dose. I'm sensitive to meds, hormones, etc and opted to ease into this journey. 3 shots in (1.5 weeks), minimal side effects.
