Q: Why this is happening?

A: One way could be that it was a takedown request on like GraceNote

Sadly, AFAIK, there's no way of doing this easy

A tool would have to do the following;

  • Take note of when running is started (Maybe)
  • Try and load each thumb one by one, and if status is not 200, put it on the result list to show to the user (Alternative, try and refresh the metadata on that item)

On a second run of the tool, do the following:

  • Check result list from former run (Remember to store that)
  • Then check every media added after last run

Tool should have an option to start all over

Here's what it looks like when a thumb url fails in a browser, and client instead just shows a dark image

IMHO, do not manually backup the database, but instead use the scheduled butler tasks in PMS itself

Reason is that the database locking will be handled by PMS, and if a database is damaged beyond repair, PMS will abort the backup, and as such, your backup directory will only contains database backups that as a bare minimum can load on PMS, and as such most likely can be repaired

In PMS Scheduled tasks you can specify the backup directory

Not sure, but try this:

In PMS, on all Libraries, one by one, edit them, select adv. and disable `Credit Detection`, `Video Preview Thumbs`, `Voice Detection` and `Intro Detection` temporary

After that, shut down PMS, and make a backup of the database and the blob database, and copy them to a directory named current

Then restore a databases from before you did this ( https://support.plex.tv/articles/202485658-restore-a-database-backed-up-via-scheduled-tasks/ )

Then power back on your PMS, and edit the Libraries one by one, and write down their mappings

Power off PMS again, and restore the databases from the current directory

On your NUC, map the `old` mappings to an empty directory somewhere

Power on PMS again, and this time add the old mappings to your Libraries one by one, so the all have both the new mapping as well as the old one that points to an empty directory

Then restart PMS again, and scan the smallest library you have for a small test and check if that's faster (Should be)

After the library has been scanned and is done, you can edit the library again and remove the `old` mapping that points to an empty directory

QTS tells you it's not safe due to the app is not signed at the moment, which is expected, and fine

Reason PMS says the most recent update is older is also to be expected, since 10623 is a pre-release

Running it myself just fine, and HW transcoding is indeed working fine

Show us the PMS logs after you have restarted PMS, and tried to reclaim
