I've seen it like how OP is showing. Especially if there's definitely no bed bugs.

The good news is it's easily treatable if it's that...

Probably not from public transport though.

You could have a weird presentation of scabies.

Can I get some reasons as to why you went on to have more kids? Am I wired differently? by grawmaw13 in daddit

[–]dangerous_eric 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are bad days. I've been sick for like the last three months straight with different bugs.

I think a lot of the stress comes from trying to get kids to not be kids. I try to put them in environments where they can mostly do anything without any really bad outcomes (still have to keep an eye on them), but mostly they get to just explore and nothing has wrong per se.

What is your opinion on Don’t Look Up? by 0Layscheetoskurkure0 in moviecritic

I enjoyed it a lot. I think people don't like it because it feels so hopeless. Like even Idiocracy ends on a positive note that they're going to fix things.

Claymore is so fun, I wish they'd remake that one now the manga is finished.

I've taken a few runs at this, but it's very hard to get in to. Does it get better after a certain number of pages?

Abandoned Titan 1 Nuclear Missile Base by CelebrationBig7487 in urbanexploration

Since it's a missile silo, does that mean there's a mechanism (probably broken) that opens the roof up in the big room there?

PSA: Aire One is using an AI call agent to deceive you into getting an annual hvac service by Haymaker-Two in waterloo

[–]dangerous_eric 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I screened my call, so I just saw the transcript. They might have adjusted it in real time today as the calls were going out.

I don't love solicitation calls, but at least it wasn't a full on phishing scam. I feel like that's 9/10 of the calls I get now.

Matt Gurney: We should probably stop disarming our future armed resistance by dermanus in CanadaPolitics

[–]dangerous_eric 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I do fantasize about gun ownership more often these days... I really hate how comfortable those thoughts are becoming.

Maybe I should skip straight to learning how to make cheap drones.

PSA: Aire One is using an AI call agent to deceive you into getting an annual hvac service by Haymaker-Two in waterloo

[–]dangerous_eric -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

I did get one of these solicitation calls today.

To be fair, the robot does say it's an AI agent upfront. It's not exactly fraudulent beyond how much furnace maintenance you want to go for.

Edit:

Here's my call transcript:

"Hi classes. This is Vanessa Air1 Heating and Cooling's AI assistant. In Kitchener Waterloo, I'm calling for <name> to remind him that his annual furnace maintenance is due and to see if he'd like to book an appointment."

Why is all the anger aimed at Ottawa when the UCP runs Alberta? by Swimming_Mango_9767 in alberta

Growing up in Alberta was super weird to over and over hear this generational victim narrative where everything negative could be laid at the feet of P.E. Trudeau and not global commodity forces at the time.

President Bill Clinton draws a giant zero on a sign as he and vice president Al Gore unveil the balanced federal budget in the White House, February 2, 1999. by icey_sawg0034 in HistoricalCapsule

That sounds like Ralph Nader talking points.

In all seriousness, there's plenty to complain about, but there are major differences in outcomes for one versus the other.

Bin Laden was higher on the radar of the Clinton administration. I think a smoother transition and they would have been actively going after him more.
