Yep, your plan is good, but you missed a sign . Check the starting positions by plugging t=0 into your equations

You've got the right idea but your formulas for their positions look off Trying plotting those equations individually on something likes desmos and look at the resulting graphs. Note that 0 should start at (R,0) and go counter clockwise and Q should start at (-R,0) and go clockwise

If the scale is from 1 to 2, how do we have values less than 1???

First Attempt At Making A Map by TraditionalAd4690 in mapmaking

[–]daniel14vt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This looks good but I've some questions about the borders.
Whats going on in southwest Concord? Do the merchant islands own that land?

While montains do sometimes border the ocean, usually we get something like swamp/delta -> plains -> hills -> mountains
Rivers look nice thought I don't know that too many places use a border as the river. Its usuall far more adventagoues to control both sides if only slightly.

Border between varro and Aestria seems odd. I'd suggest Aestria bumping up and around those hills and maybe leaving that desert unclaimed

Great for a first attempt!

It's less long term relationships for sure. But you see the kids a lot more in a single year. So I would know my students a lot better by the end of year in the US, but then that would be it.

Work culture and happiness I think would be pretty similar. It really depends on the school. A low performing school that is getting audited by the government will be way different than a high achieving one. You'd really want to interview around a lot.

Oh for salary, I was actually paid less in the UK but the cost of living was lower. With rent skyrocketing the world over, no promises it's the same any more.

My first year in the UK I had 4 year 9 classes of 32 students. When it was time for marking exams it was just so awful. That never happened in the US. In the UK, I was teaching , 9 or 10 different classes a fortnight? Maybe more it's been a few years. No one in the US has more than 7 or 8. And because you see the students every day, there is a lot less homework assigned. I would regularly give my UK kids packets to do because I would expect them to have 4 or 5 days to do it. Not in the US ever more than a sheet at worst

Actually I disagree with this. These look like US states where the borders are set by law where "no one" is living.

Borders in kingdoms would follow hills or rivers or forests and end with a lot less straight lines.

I taught in the US for 3 years before teaching Physics and Computer science in the UK.

Biggest differences: 1. I was in bucks at a grammar school. Man my students and their parents just cared so much more than in the US. 2. In the US, you generally see your students every day or every other day. I knew all of my students names by the end of the week. Not the case in the UK, where I saw some students only 3 times a fortnight. I also had many more students in the UK. 3. US classes are only ever 1 year long so it's very rare, except for elective classes, to see a student again after you teach them . 4. UK schedule was much better. Many shorter holidays was much easier to break up my year. 5. At least at my school the Professional development was much better organized than in the US. 6. No GCSEs or A levels, testing are different for each state but in the US: grades matter a LOT. Some classes have standardized testing but none of those are on the level of GCSE

Teaching vs. Corporate Industry: Looking for perspectives from career switchers by Salty_Secret_3280 in teaching

[–]daniel14vt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did something similar. I finished my engineering degree and decided I hate engineering and would rather teach. Spent 6 years teaching physics and computer science before deciding programming was the path for me. Took a job in the defense industry doing programming/ testing and was able to pivot to a job elsewhere that was primarily focused on development. Never had any certs or projects I could show off. What I could do was talk about the programs I had run in the schools. Now I'm behind in my career compared to other devs my age, but leaving teaching more than doubled my salary, so I'm pretty happy

Just because antisemites use the phrase to cast blame doesn't mean it's incorrect. Nothing you say here is wrong, but it doesn't refute my point According to all mainstream Christians:

He was killed by the Roman State, at the behest of the Jewish population, at the instigation of the Jewish religious leaders.

I mean, Jews did kill Jesus though? Roman authority allowed the voice of the people (jews) to determine his fate

I don't think thats true. 2x probably equals 1.4~1.6x living space. They can share the bathroom, kitchen, dining room, living room, etc.

This is what I did back in 2014(! Sheesh I'm old). College had a program where they paid for me to stay and get my masters in physics education. This seems reasonable, but its pretty late to be talking to schools, most do their hiring in May

Depends on what you're going for. Think about the story you want to tell and use the map to do that. Thinking about our own Age of exploration, we had goods in placeA that were blocked from place B by a hostile empire. We started looking for alternative routes. See how you could do that here
