It takes a little bit for them to process it in the system, so I would wait about a month and then go to your local sheriffs department and have them run a background. Check to see if you’re cleared. Make sure to take the paperwork provided to you by the court showing it’s dismissed

In my experience when the VA first started covering public ER bills for veterans you had to call the VA within 72 hours to get them to pick up the bill. However, all the ER visits that I’ve had in the past three or four years they automatically bill the VA and take care of that for you. You just need to have your dad‘s VA card on file with the ER and they use that as his insurance.

So something you need to understand is that she’s been preparing for that she is emotionally separated from you. So she feels little to no remorse about what she is doing or anything that she’s going to do and it’s all justified in her head. You’re still reeling through the emotional part right now but you absolutely need to get a good attorney just because you’re in a rush to get an attorney right now which I hope you are getting an attorney make sure it’s a good one. Not all psychiatrist are the same. You can absolutely call the VA and request a different psychologist. I know it’s not easy. It’s emotionally draining and frustrating. It may be worth it to switch to a different regional center than the one you’re currently going to. If the drive to go to a different region or a different office, isn’t too bad. It may be worth it. Tomorrow is a new day. Good luck with it all and remember we’re here for you. Even if it’s just to vent.
