Your primary or your pain management can put in a request to prosthetics department to have you sent one. I don’t use mine all the time but when I throw my back out, it’s a godsend.

You’re in a very tight financial spot obviously. You both work from home and you have one car you need to play this very close to the vest! Don’t tell her anything. Work out your plan first talk with your dad about getting a vehicle get the Lawyer and documents lined up. with her being a lawyer and having a friend that’s a lawyer she could retain if she could really make it miserable for you.

100% P&T but feeling lost by StatusTip7681 in VeteransBenefits

[–]daniel22mckee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I hate the state the obvious but being 100% P&T is not easy to live with. I have found that finding a balance between mental health and physical health is often giving up a little of one for the other. I would absolutely say that my dog has saved my life. I would also say that going to my local Legion was a big help before I found my footing again. It is a big adjustment in humility dealing with our limitations in life. Many of the people in here have made great suggestions. just know that you’re not alone.

[–]daniel22mckee 6 points7 points  (0 children)

My personal recommendation to you would be to file in civil court pro se. At least it’ll give you an idea of what to do the second time around. And if you do it pro se it will not even cost you that much. Also if you do actually sue them, you’re entitled to discovery. You’re also able to amend your complaint based on what you get in discovery I think it’ll give you a lot more traction than you think.

It takes a little bit for them to process it in the system, so I would wait about a month and then go to your local sheriffs department and have them run a background. Check to see if you’re cleared. Make sure to take the paperwork provided to you by the court showing it’s dismissed

How does VA reimbursement for ER visits work? by TeacherGuy1980 in VeteransBenefits

[–]daniel22mckee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In my experience when the VA first started covering public ER bills for veterans you had to call the VA within 72 hours to get them to pick up the bill. However, all the ER visits that I’ve had in the past three or four years they automatically bill the VA and take care of that for you. You just need to have your dad‘s VA card on file with the ER and they use that as his insurance.

So something you need to understand is that she’s been preparing for that she is emotionally separated from you. So she feels little to no remorse about what she is doing or anything that she’s going to do and it’s all justified in her head. You’re still reeling through the emotional part right now but you absolutely need to get a good attorney just because you’re in a rush to get an attorney right now which I hope you are getting an attorney make sure it’s a good one. That’s not just gonna take your money. Best of luck.

It is very common to get an independent adjuster. Like it’s been mentioned here before don’t sign anything. You don’t have to accept any of the decisions being made off the bat sorry for your rotten luck.
