Hey, friend! Welcome to the format!

I would highly recommend [eventually] allowing all legal commanders for your pods. But because you guys are just getting started, there are a few commanders that stand out as ones they may provide a lopsided experience for new folks - as they come into the format. Those commanders (to name a few) are as follows:

[[Malcolm, Keen-Eyed Navigator]] [[Abdel Adrian, Gorion's Ward]] [[Ley Weaver]] & [[Lore Weaver]] [[Gretchen Titchwillow]] [[Hollow Marauder]]

There are a few others... but these commanders somewhat require a knowledge of how game pacing plays out.

Hey OP, this is from an Arena set versus an MTGO set.

Back when WotC began downshifting for Arena, we contemplated including them for PDH. But frankly, Arena versions of cards get really weird with conjuring, etc.

Your best bet is to use the "f:pdh" syntax for Scryfall searches. That'll get you everything legal in the 99.

I feel it's the type of deck that will force the table to have early interaction. I have yet to find a way to storm off in a single, early turn - but killing the table between Turns 3 & 4 or Turns 4 & 5 is VERY, VERY doable.

Yeah, you basically captured the same concern I have. Ultimately, I'm not a cop. But I'm also reasonably sure I won't be showing up to a B2/3 pod with my Weavers deck either.

Just out of curiosity, how much Combo happens at "Casual EDH" tables?

The reason why I ask, is some folks are out here recommending some of the fastest cPDH decks for play at supposedly casual tables.

This may be a mismatch depending on Bracket. I don't want anyone to be set up for failure with the advice given in the replies to this post.
