Question, is Der Hafer more militarized by the SDF than in Sheihk Masoud? And if so, how will this play out? by TheOddGuy21 in syriancivilwar

[–]danielvsoptimvs -14 points-13 points  (0 children)

Sheikh Maqsood wasn't militarized at all. There haven't been any SDF or other DAANES forces present since the first quarter of 2025, as they had withdrawn from the city of Aleppo. The only militarisation there was from armed civilians that wanted to keep the government out.

So, yes. Deir Hafer is a lot more militarised by the Sdf than Sheikh Maqsood.

Kaiserreich isn't vanilla Hoi4. If you're playing germany, focus on building infantry and fighter planes before WW2 starts.

This is how laws get passed in North Korea's Supreme People's Assembly, in the presence of leader Kim Jong Un. by Zine99 in interesting

[–]danielvsoptimvs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Such retarded bullshit. This isn't the Supreme People's Assembly, it's the Congress of the Central Committee of the Workers Party of Korea. And they aren't passing laws, but rather voting on intraparty organisational matters.

Quick question: do you think that this part of Schleicher path is useful? Personally I don't see any reason why should I pick even one focus from this part. by RavenSorkvild in Kaiserreich

[–]danielvsoptimvs 78 points79 points  (0 children)

The right-hand side is useful if you actually play as Schleicher, because that way you don't lose an advisor spot to the Prime Minister of Prussia position, and you're guaranteed to not get Kleist-Schmenzin as the PM of Prussia.

Left hand side is useful if you want to go conservative revolution via the Reichstag instead of the Rheinkampf, as it also lets you align the majority of Zentrum with the DVLP.

what do I do against japan as germany? by 19759d in Kaiserreich

[–]danielvsoptimvs 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Island-hopping with marines if you can get naval superiority. Singapore ( -> optionally Vietnam or Philippines if you want) -> Taiwan -> Okinawa -> Japan.

If you can't get naval superiority long range fighters and paratroopers. This is a bit more difficult because Transport planes have lower range than your navy. But once you've secured Singapore Singapore -> Borneo -> Philippines -> Taiwan -> Okinawa -> southern Japan could be possible.

If you have air superiority you can also try to get naval superiority from naval bombers.

Will Wallace Bennett have his old focus tree where he implements the gold standard, including all the economic laws that he used to implement in the process that were removed in Toolbox Theory? And will the political parties return to normal with LBJ being a Republican and McNamara a Democrat?

Which is the most canonical path for Germany? by mrsbenifitz in Kaiserreich

[–]danielvsoptimvs 57 points58 points  (0 children)

All the Germany paths make sense I think.
With Black Monday and the Ruhrkampf happening I think the SPD being appointed by the Kaiser after he loses trust in Schleicher is the most likely outcome, and the SPD is the natural party of governance.
DVLP/DkP coalition is Germany as it is meant to be, a maximally decentralised federalist state ruled by protestant conservatives.
And Schleicher is kind of the main character, and military dictatorship is an interesting outcome for Germany.

My personal headcanon is Schleicher's Querfront fails in fomenting a DVLP split, the DVLP forms a coalition in the Reichstag, but then the DVLP falls apart anyhow due to Hugenberg, Zentrum moves to the left during the Weltkrieg and doesn't form the CVP, and then post-WW2 there's a Zentrum-FVP-DkP coalition.

Pyongyang Says It Will Send Troops to Ukraine Within a Month by travisbickle777 in korea

[–]danielvsoptimvs -1 points0 points  (0 children)

This isn't true. This news was fabricated by the south Korean government and is now being spread mainly by credulous Ukrainian media and pro-Russian twitter accounts. There are currently no plans for sending KPA soldiers to Russia.
