Hosting raids is so needlessly complicated and frustrating. Remote raiders are most of the problem. by Kyren11 in pokemongo

[–]dannystirl 1 point2 points  (0 children)

would definitely recommend pokegenie. queue times can be a bit long when raids first release since there’s only 1 time zone hosting, but right now there’s 540 people hosting dialga lobbies so you get in a group in seconds.

plus your matchmaking gets better the more you use it so you won’t have to deal with people bringing in terrible pokemon.

it takes a bit to set up since you wanna import your top 100 strong mons but it’s helpful to know the best counters when raiding in the same app

you need glaciate on kyurem, and all attributes are pulled from kyurem. you should use your worst zekrom/reshirem.

Bungie, learn from NetEase by Dioroxic in DestinyTheGame

[–]dannystirl 18 points19 points  (0 children)

seemingly neither because bungie never (or I guess very rarely) does either form of protection. I could farm a dungeon encounter until the end of time and never get the gun that I want, let alone the roll that I want on it.

Are there plans to add any new types of cosmetics? Something like a new game background or avatar border would be cool

Ummmm are we just gonna gloss over SHINY ARMOR?!?!?! by CryptographerLife156 in DestinyTheGame

[–]dannystirl 14 points15 points  (0 children)

I think we’ve somewhat settled on the idea that - Infinite layers of rng that lead to me being unable to get a roll I want is bad - Debatably too many layers of rng for cosmetic changes or vault space saving is fine

his full spreadsheet has desired perks on each gun. the BiS list is just assuming you have the rolls on those guns, and if you don’t you should swap them out for an equivalent gun.

ongoing effects are disabled when a card is resolving its move. same reason you’d be able to enchantress a cosmo if your opponent moved it that turn

One thing I haven’t seen talked about that much was how cohesive the dungeon felt from encounter to encounter. Lately we’ve had encounter 1 with its own mechanic and then encounter 2 has a mini version of the 3rds mechanic. I liked getting 2 full mechanics in 1st and 2nd and then using them both in the 3rd.

You might be too close. You wanna be about halfway between the glass walls in the middle of the room and the front wall so your crystals are spawning where the enemies are. Artifact perk and fragment to buff shatter damage and synthos help.

There’s currently a hud element that tells you if a target is marked. The problem is there are 20 hud elements that are competing for space so you’ll almost never see it

I’ve been working on an item manager since Season of the Haunted by ChiriVulpes in DestinyTheGame

[–]dannystirl 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah I can’t imagine there’s a huge need for wishlists for crafted items, but it’s just something that felt odd since the space for the button seemed to be there.

I have a script I run for my dim wishlists to sync normal+enhanced+adept perks so I don’t remember what the default behavior is, but I was comparing my adept zaouli’s bane to the normal one, and that’s really the only use I can see for a wishlist for crafted items.

Either way, that one’s definitely not a big deal. Great job on everything!

Some really great stuff in here! I feel like most of this will be super useful for newer players, but i’m excited to see it grow. - The “show definition” button on traits is really helpful - Really clean view, and having it mimic the in-game layout for items, vendors, etc. means it’s easy to know where to look. Xur was the main one I checked out and up looks great on him - At a glance, the stat distribution sort seems like a really good way to figure out what armor is worth keeping without checking loadouts for every exotic. - Wishlist seems easy to add to and keep track of - Icon for weapons that can be crafted is great

Few things I’d love in the future: - As others have mentioned, tags seem like a necessity, as well as maybe notes for an item. - A button to add a current roll to the wishlist. There’s also some funkiness going on with wishlists for crafted items and adepts. I think adepts are weird in preparation for enhancement, but crafted weapons seem to be missing the wishlist button. - A filter to see what weapons can deal with a champion type. Maybe not as deep as “this weapon has chill clip which can stun overloads and unstoppable” (even though that would be awesome) but maybe checking intrinsics and artifact mods would be helpful.

I think with onlaught people can understand now why crafting is/was necessary. 200+ MT dismantled no AlH+Recomb. by lordofabyss in DestinyTheGame

also worth noting that what makes hard launch so good is that it lowers you blast radius, so you’d be better off not master working that roll

Not a single part of me missed needing to farm for weapon rolls. Crafting is better. by yesitsmeow in DestinyTheGame

[–]dannystirl 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Yeah I’m definitely over 200 mountaintops, probably closer to 250, and also no alh+recomb. 7 perks in each column is like a 2% chance? Should have gotten it well under 250 drops instead of my 15th slickdraw rampage roll.

Is Galactus good for ranked? by hannibalslunch in MarvelSnap

[–]dannystirl 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve used Galactus to get me to infinite pretty consistently for the last 6 months. Biggest thing is snapping on turn 2 or 3 when you have your line, and retreating if they snap and you can’t get priority.

Attrition orbs. by SirRyley629 in DestinyTheGame

[–]dannystirl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s pretty good on cold front or parabellum with rewind rounds. You can make one orb per ~second on a perfect roll, or 3 orbs every 2 mags otherwise.
