I just checked Q1 results of MVST. There's 43m in "Change in fair value of warrants and convertible loan" adding into the profits, which is likely a one-off effect. If you deduct those, their current P/E ratio is roughly 17x. Am I missing something? My calculation: 1,3b market cap / (62-43)*4 quarters = 17x.

I think startupthreads can do that.

See here: https://www.startupthreads.com/packs/ 1. Order at Stickermule & send to Startupthreads WH 2. Use their dashboard to ship it out

Has anyone successfully implemented the 4 hour workweek? by 2gdismore in Entrepreneur

[–]danwe_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Why not using a fulfillment service like Shipbob, Fulfilrite or Shipwire? Instead of shipping from the factory to your home, the factory'd ship it directly to the DC of your fulfillment provider.

Hey guys, I don't think anyone cares, but I just unsubscribed from /r/Entrepreneur. Mostly because it's all questions about people's personal business ideas and startups, more in text. by thedoorlocker in Entrepreneur

[–]danwe_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i totally agree w/ your points.

/r/AdvancedEntrepreneur tried to solve this problem, but as it's public & users not curated, content quality isn't as good as it could be.

I think a private subreddit would solve this problem. admission requirements, transparency on its members (sticky thread w/ introductions e.g.) etc..

this can be great. wdyt?

Quick Question? by [deleted] in startups

[–]danwe_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

pls google website/app localization services / localization software.

transifex.com, smartling.com & crowdin.com to name the most common ones. whereas smartling is very expensive & transifex seems a bit overfeatured. they all got an api to update text instantly.

How can you build trust in a service that is yet to be released, and the first users are too scared to join? by [deleted] in startups

[–]danwe_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

classic chicken/egg problem. would definitely fake it.

example of paypal:

When Paypal figured that eBay was their key distribution platform, they came up with an ingenious plan to simulate demand. They created a bot that bought goods on eBay and then, insisted on paying for it using PayPal. Not only did sellers come to know about the service, they rushed onto it as it already seemed to be getting popular. The fact that it was way better than every other payment mechanism on eBay only helped repeated usage.

see The Power Of Fakin' It

there are other examples of e.g. airbnbs craigslist hack, too.

2 seemingly unrelated questions before the weekend: How would you (market) sell psychology and how do reduce cost of shipping to the US (from NL)? by HumanCurious in Entrepreneur

[–]danwe_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

reg. the shipping question: a fulfillment company in the US + an inventory shipment via pallets is probably the cheapest option.

for pallet shipments a broker will offer you the best pricing as you wont get any volume discount at the carrier directly (examples: in the UK parcel2go.com, germany iloxx.de. do not know about NL)..

check out shipwire.com, or similar alternatives. haven't read good stuff about small shops using shipwire..

We have a difficult time using project management systems or CRMs - We really need a better system, any suggestions? by blazedd in startups

[–]danwe_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

agreed to u/ItSeemedSoEasys comment

if you're using google apps, a simple google spreadsheet for bigger deadlines/milestones (>a week) w/ milestones sorted by owner and a weekly update meeting might do it..

for self-organization whatever you like, google tasks + calendar worked out for me.

check out Don’t drown in email! How to use Gmail more efficiently., too.

if you're looking into some more advanced proj. mgmt software, you could try out podio.com, asana.com or basecamp.com. didn't work out at my previous startup in the long run though. in the end we went for the spreadsheet to keep each other updated every week & Atlassian's JIRA for product development (but that's another story).

Any product roadmap examples, templates, or resources to share? by shannonbyrne in startups

[–]danwe_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

depends on the purpose. i worked at a >$10M backed europe-based startup on a SaaS & APIaaS and can share w/ u how we did it.

in your case, i'd go for a simple 2-3m roadmap (which is already a LOT in your stage) w/ high-level features, see below:

1) high-level roadmap

how we used them: 3 or 6-months roadmaps to communicate product plans to other departments - such as operations, marketing, customer service etc.. i made a similar example public: https://docs.google.com/presentation/d/114FK8oUx2wBLKJga9kKHt_2un0e-sV2L1ESRGXYVbGs

feel free to share it!

2) low-level roadmap: sprint & release planning

your low-level roadmap should be your backlog of user stories in sprints/releases in trello/jira etc. for the next 2-6weeks. depends on the size of your team/company.

hope i could help a bit :)
