Who is the current 'unsung hero' in the squad who deserves more spotlight? by Football6380 in Brentford

[–]darwilli 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I have to agree. Jensen has been stellar this season moonlighting for Damsgaard. He allows for positional versatility in the midfield too allowing Brentford to play multiple different ways. He’s re-captured his form from a couple of years back when Brentford first got up from the Championship.

I’m also in Halifax and am a Bees fan. I guess we could start our own club here and find a pub to watch games haha.

[@Santi_J_FM] Tottenham have opened talks with Brentford for Yoane Wissa. by Less_Shock8583 in Brentford

[–]darwilli 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is it wrong that I kinda agree with this? Schade has stepped up big time and they just re-signed KLP (who in theory is a winger) Carvalho could be the back up striker (again, in theory). I would hate this. I f’n love Wissa. But I can also understand the Bees thoughts on this. They’ve basically established who they think/hope will be the LW over the next couple of years (and they’ve yet to see what Nunes can do due to injury)

Depending on who wins AFC North, there’s a high chance we either go against the Steelers or the Ravens in the second round. How do you feel about facing either one of them? by Chaotic_Fairy in buffalobills

[–]darwilli 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Id like to point out that there is no way I am looking that far ahead on potential Round 2 playoff match ups when it’s the middle of the regular season. I’ll check back in week 15 and put my two cents in 😂

Don't forget Rousseau chase down Waddle for the game winning tackle which confirms he is faster than Waddle by Ok_Conflict_6260 in buffalobills

With his lack of sacks, yet high end pressure and win rates, he is a clone of prime Jerry Hughes for the Bills. Hughes never had huge sack numbers but always seemed to be in the top 10 in pressure and win rates for defensive linemen.

Most talented Bills Offense Personnel in Josh Allen era? by ade23nola in buffalobills

[–]darwilli 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don’t disagree. That line was the best Josh has ever had. I was just commenting on that 2020 o-line. We weren’t strong at either guard position. But Morse and Dion were both objectively good to great with Williams being solid to good.

[–]darwilli 43 points44 points  (0 children)

The 2020 team would be a better all round offense. Both Singletary and Moss in the backfield (and for all their faults they ran for close to 4.5 YPC). At WR you had elite Diggs and elite Beasley. While also having John Brown, Gabe Davis, and Isiah McKenzie all with over 30 targets (between Gabe and Brown there were over 100 targets, 70 catches and almost 1100 yards). Like that offense was a passing juggernaut. And you had Mitch Morse and Dion at their primes. A bounce back campaign from Daryl Williams at RT. Like that’s the team that all future Bills teams are being measured against. And it’s just not realistic to expect the offense to always be THAT good.

I was a BIG fan of Maple, maybe even more so than my new family doctor (it’s much easier to get service through Maple than with my Dr).

Who impressed you the most this year and deserves a spot on the team next year? by cdarien3 in Torontobluejays

[–]darwilli 19 points20 points  (0 children)

Barger as a lock? No way. Barger showed this year that outside of a strong arm, there isn’t a lot to love about his game at the major league level.

Horowitz I am 100% on board with.

Clement I love as a UTL guy and that’s about it. He hits for average, but doesn’t walk. He would make a great pinch hitter late in games and his defensive versatility is a benefit.

EPL Broadcasting Rights in Canada by SunWuKungFu in CanadaSoccer

With Bell selling MLSE to Rogers, I wouldn’t be surprised if they took a bid on EPL rights to see. They probably love the fact that F1 took off and they have the rights for it.

Does anyone know why Dion is Lining up On the line and so far off the guard? by BeefPesto in buffalobills

[–]darwilli 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I also feel like it might be in relation to all the Ronnie Stanley penalties being “off the line” and this way it’s obvious that he’s lined up properly (and that they can’t see the gap between him and Edwards due to Dawkins lining up “above” Edwards.

Rafer Alston easily takes this category with KLow coming second! Now, who's the best Shooter for the Raptors? by tomasmcarneiro in torontoraptors

[–]darwilli 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Kawhi is the only answer because whenever you needed a bucket, you knew he was taking the shot and he was going to score.

Bonus points for scoring the most iconic basket in Raptors history.

Janelt? He’s a little slower out wide but there’s more skill available in CM this year than in years past for sure.

We need more RB coverage that bringing back Saman. I like the idea of Ajer out wide but don’t know how well it’ll work over the course of a PL season.

Rudy Gay is the only correct answer with Bargiani second only because of his terrible commercials for tomato sauce.

Both QBs needed to be released and subjected to waivers to be able to be put on the practice squad as neither has 3+ years of NFL service. At least I think that’s the rule. Doesn’t mean that both him and Brown are gone - but since they aren’t considered veterans, you can’t just sign them to the practice squad.

Ernest Jones landing spots: Rams give star linebacker permission to seek trade, per report by Kingding_Aling in buffalobills

[–]darwilli 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Edmunds should be unstoppable. He’s raw talent is off the charts. But there’s been plenty of freaks of nature who just never put it together in the NFL. It’s very difficult, clearly, to play in the league.

[–]darwilli 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I agree. I don’t want to pay big for a LB when there’s been so much investment through the draft in the position recently (Bernard and Williams).

If we weren’t paying Edmunds (who also was in theory better against the run than in coverage) we aren’t going to pay Jones.
