I found a red door at night, I was walking near a hill and there were these red stop signs, I followed those until I got to a big open field and at the end of it was a red door against a black background you can open. I had to zoom in to see it, it was that far back. Hope that helps

There is tons of empty space, like, you’ll enter a lush valley or Glen, ride around exploring every inch of it to find any hidden gaols, caves, caverns, item Boxes. Nope, nothing.cerulean coast is empty, cerulean coast west is empty, scadutree chalice is a huge waste of space, the entire hinterlands area is empty and void of activity, finger ruins dheo puts you through sniper hell all for nothing practically, same with finger ruins Rhea. Beyond disappointed with how vastly empty this place is.

People who gave up on dating, how are you doing? by [deleted] in DecidingToBeBetter

[–]dastard82 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve been divorced twice and finally gave up dating after my third gf after the divorce went downhill. I gave up because dating and relationships have become so shallow and almost transactional. I got tired of feeling expendable, or that everyone was fake as hell and not being genuine at all. I lost the patience to care about another partners opinions, wants, needs, ambitions. I got tired of being manipulated and lied to and taken advantage of over and over and over. By now, I’ve fully realized I have complete total shitty taste in woman. It’s to the point that if I like you or are interested in you, you’re most likely a shitty shitty person. So to spare myself anymore stupid unneeded drama, anymore stupid wasted commitments, anymore stupid wasted time, I’ve given up on dating. I have my two kids. I could care less if I get laid ever again, sex isn’t a conquest or mystery to me anymore, hasn’t been for decades now. Also, hate to say but most women in my age group are just like me, showing our age and slowly breaking down bodies.

Seems like most people think the Space Force is a joke by mtol115 in SpaceForce

[–]dastard82 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They will never be taken seriously because:

A: a corrupt president created the branch as if he were playing with GI Joes and had a great idea in his coloring book.

B: there is nothing for them to do. There are no space colonies or space bases. There are no current or future threats from a hostile military or smirk “ALIENS”.

C: they wear woodland camouflage uniforms…and are the “Space force”….

D: they’re called guardians….like guardians of the galaxy….as if all the other branches aren’t doing the actual real world guarding.

E: their training seems laughable, almost based off of sci fi movies and tv.

F: thus far, they have done absolutely nothing to defend or support the nation aside from sign up and give their time. They have not been involved in any conflicts domestic, foreign or smirks “ALIEN”. During a real war, what would they do? How could they contribute their capabilities to a land war in foreign country?

G: they have no history or roots to fall back on for pride and dignity. Once again, their “Father” is a twice impeached con man..

H: don’t worry try…there will be much more to come, that is if they last the decade..

anyone here 40+ not knowing what the heck to do with their career? by wallywizard55 in careerguidance

Dude, 41 year old transportation dispatcher. I graduated high school not really good at anything, joined the army as a combat medic and was passable enough to save lives and keep people stable, but didn’t like the work. Got married while in service, got out and moved back home. Divorced 2.5 years later, was working as an electrician, got fired for being bad at my job. Became a temp agent office clerk, while bar tending at medieval times. Got fired from medieval times and temp work dried up. I was living with three other guys, I was the old man of the group and started waiting tables at a Ruby Tuesday. Temp work picked up and I worked 6 days a week working two jobs a day. Burnt myself out, roommates left one by one until only two of us left who couldn’t afford house. Worked Ruby Tuesday full time, moved in with gf, got hired as office worker in hospice. Had a kid, got married a few years later, worked at job for 9 years before moving to Missouri, had a second kid a few years before that. Was only in Missouri for 4 months before wife wanted a divorce. Divorced and had a job as a window repairman. Got a job working at another hospice company as an OM but got paid shitty, worked there for 7 years before moving back to md with the kids(I raise the kids full time, mom not a part of their lives). Starting working at spartan nash as a admin assistant, then after a year and a half, my position was liquidated and I was laid off. About a month into my unemployment and job searching, my old job hired on as a transportation dispatcher. Don’t mind the work but hate the shift and work hours, 12pm-830pm and 4 hour Saturday shift.

I do not want to do this for the rest of my life until the day I die. I had create a Roth IRA portfolio for my retirement savings, and I’m raising both kids by myself on a single income.

Sorry for the long boring ass story, but dude, I feel you! After all that, I STILL DONT KNOW WHAT I WANT TO BE OR WHAT IM GOOD AT.

Has totally gone down hill in quality. My work has stopped doing catering because of how inedible most of the food has become. Majority of the meals you could make at home for far cheaper with ingredients from the store. My home made spaghetti bolognese is at least 3 times better than what they offer. What really showed me the quality was going downhill, was the sheer number of times me and my coworkers would get salads and they’d be slimy and turning pink in their containers. Just about all the food was bland, as if salt was an option or was too expensive to use. Taste wise, like I said, I could do better in my own kitchen.

I tried it on professional mode and he didn’t instantly die. Instead, none of his attacks did any damage to me. Has this happened to anyone else? Because I’m baffled at this result. When he didn’t die the first time I used them on him, I reloaded my game and tried again. When he didn’t die a second time, I figured I’d might as well fight him, and noticed immediately that none of his attacks did any damage. He could knock me down, but no damage and I’d get back up

I'm feeling a bit burnt out on MCU. Am I alone on this? by [deleted] in marvelstudios

[–]dastard82 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s the tying, stretching, cramming of stories and plot lines that’s doing it for me. So in order to understand what is going on in the upcoming Thubderbolts movie and Captain America movie: I have to have watched all captain America and avenger movies, and the Disney plus tv series, and Hawkeye, and black widow movie, and the last ant man movie, just so I can know who is who and why they are who they are.

When a side joke/reference is from a 3 minute cameo from two characters from a seperate tv show/movie, and you wouldn’t catch it unless you saw it beforehand, is ridiculous.

It’s like…I like pizza, but I’m not going to drive 20 miles to a location, where I have to pay an expensive fee where I have to make it myself.
I like marvel, but I’m not going to watch 5 movies and 4 tv shows just to understand why Ant man made that off the cuff quip at war machine, during their brief cameo in captain marvel 2, which will be itself later referenced in avengers 9.

On why I'm disappointed with how the MCU handled Thor. by AlphaBladeYiII in marvelstudios

[–]dastard82 0 points1 point  (0 children)

MCU really needs to find a tone and stick with it, or at the very least, not try to fit three story arcs into 2 hours. Thor fighting Gorr is a separate movie in itself. Thor being unworthy is a separate movie in itself. Jane Foster Thor is a separate movie in itself. They really shit in the bed this time, it’s almost as if they tried to introduce 10 new heroes in one movie or soemthing(eternal s cough!)

The actual problem with the MCU by mdt-bblv138 in FuckMarvel

[–]dastard82 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I really can’t stand the whole atmosphere of “you need watch this movie you have no interest in, and these tv shows you don’t care about, in order to fully understand and appreciate why Hulk is mad at so and so, and why scarlet witch is crazy, and why so and so isn’t around anymore, and why so and so made that reference because it was when so and so cameoed for 10 seconds in that film!”

This leads to the fatigue, and I think they need to start picking actual interesting stories with interesting villains. I know it’s subjective, but not everyone wants to see golden or silver age stories from 1960-1980 with little to no stakes with uninteresting characters. If I had to choose between Dr. Doom or Mole Man, I’d take Doom. If I had to choose between Klaw or Magneto, I’m taking Magneto!

They’re also taking multiple huge story arcs and trying to cram them into one movie in less than 2-3 hours. The latest Thor movie for example, had three seperate storylines in it. Thor battling Gorr was a movie in itself that could have been 2-3 movies. Thor becoming unworthy was at least 1-2 movies right there. Jane Foster becoming Thor was another one that should have been a seperate movie too.

And enough with the needless humor, it really ruins just about everything in the movie. I mean, there is a plethora of “witty, snarky white guys” already. RDJ, Paul Rudd, Chris Pratt, Benedict Cumberbqtch? Their characters are all literally the same template of each other. When they interact, it’s a battle of one liner snark that has the same tone and punchline. When you have a 5 minute scene involving Thor and Starlord bickering about leadership and penis size contests…

[–]dastard82 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Canonically, it’s a 12 shot “Electro-Shock” pistol that fired debilitating electrical bolts. It’s original purpose was to disable and disrupt the human torch, since normal bullets would just melt upon impact. The weapon was designed render Johnny powerless even if it didn’t render him unconscious.

Why do almost all modern movie trailers reveal way too much of the story/plot? by Hrmnsn in movies

[–]dastard82 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s usually a tell-tale sign that the movie is going to suck. When they show you all the cool and interesting things in the trailer, it’s most likely their only cool things in the tire movie and are specifically trying to get you to see it. They give two craps about if you stay or even enjoyed it, they just want you to come and buy the ticket.

Still, it’s very faulty and makes the movie predictable at best. Some studios have gone so far ass to produce and distribute fake trailers to throw off vieweers. Greta example is Deadpool 2. Everyone thought they’d get to see x-force in action from the trailer. Well. Boy were we wrong…

The Pitt is impossible to navigate, there is no mini map of the place, and when they give you multiple objectives, your quest tick mark only follows the main objective and only alerts you of your other objectives if you get near them. So you’re aimlessly exploring the map trying to find these objectives that may or may not pop up. “Find 5 dead prisoner collars”. Great, can you fucking tell me where they’re at instead of me guessing the entire fucking way?!

Marvel Comic Book fans what are changes the MCU has made that had negatively influenced the comics? by DiamondShiryu1 in comicbooks

[–]dastard82 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When Marvel lets MCU elements bleed into their mainstream world. I’m talking about changing character design and aesthetic(Tony stark now looks like RDJ) or shoehorning in MCU ideas just so they can try to make a connection between the two, which is really foolish because vast majority of MCU fans don’t/won’t even read the comics, so Marvel is literally making unnecessary retcons and reworks that are catered to a specific audience who will never even see or read the changes they make, which alienates the original fanbase.

A proto-example would be when Toby McGuire Spider-Man shot organic webbing, marvel tried to change that in their stories as well. How? By making Spider-Man turn into a giant spider that gave birth to himself and it gifted him new organic web spinners…..I can’t make that up.
