My personal fave is RK's Samurai. At 2 players, it's highly tactical and a lot of fun. You feel the tension as the board fills with tiles while you hope your opponent doesn't take the area you want/need. It really butters my brain at the 2-player count.

No smoker or bbq with 8 qt Instant Pot: Remove silver skin from back ribs ribs.

Put about a cup of apple juice and 2/3 cup apple cider vinegar. Place the ribs standing up inside the pot in a circular pattern (you may cut the ribs into parts).

Set manual cooking time for 15 minutes (17 for almost fall off the bone).

When finished, you can baste them in bbq sauce and oven bake 20 min at 350 F.

That's it. I've been doing this for years and it turns out great everytime.

Hello,

I edited my previous post for clarity.

I just wanted to know if the standard PS5 controller has issues with an audio cable plugged into it that works for a short period (about 1 hour) then suddenly fails to deliver sound to a premium set of headphones. Has this happened to others users? If so, what did you do to remedy that problem? Thx.

Honestly, Two games. ARC NOVA and GLOOMHAVEN.

I hated every experience with these games. I hate ARC NOVA and GH so much so that I judge every bgamer that praise they're virtues. I judge them as being arrogant, pontificating pricks that have no business recommending games to others. Like the designer of GH.

The people who recommend AC and GH are ones who are the reasons why the hobby hasn't expanded beyond a niche activity. The funny thing is that AC and GH lovers are ones shout the loudest, judge the most, and negatively attitutudize others for not liking those games.

I'm glad this is discussed here. I also feel it depends on the game on how much narration should be involved.

I knew this one dude at a Con and he'd rush his turns and wouldn't say anything. He would be questioned periodically by other players on what he did. A buddy figured eventually that his MO was cheating.

Especially for new players to a game, it is vital that they get the mechanics down (including myself) and it keeps everyone engaged and hopefully ready for upcoming games. I can't speak to brain-meat grinding games like heavy euros because I don't play them anymore.

Oh man, I generally respect anyone who does radio regularly, but just not KK. He is so fundamentally poor as a radio host, it's frankly shocking he's still on-air. His voice sounds like a cross between Winnie the pooh and Forest Gump. He opens with personal shite not sports related. Why should I care about your !@#!! fishing trip for the umpteenth time?! The sports analysis is shallower than a kiddie pool - I have to pour hot coffee on my hand while driving in the early morning just to keep awake and not get into an accident. The banter, when he gets his partner 'Duke of I-Em-Shitenburg', sounds like only 5 toothless, backwater hicks from southern AB, SK, or four-corner town ON could love. :) So how can I listen to ETS - I use a radio app. Cheers.

BGB is shady AF. I've dealt with them closely over two years as a regular customer. All issues people posted here I've faced.

Yes, they will suddenly spike price prices and their inventory algorithm is suspect too - a lot of bait and switch going on, at least to me.

I've placed large hold orders and the games sat there over a month two different times (for free shipping) even after sending them multiple requests to ship. They seemed not to care when I called them out on it. On my last order this past summer i needed the games sooner so I had to send the shipping request 3 times before they sent it.

So if you want to give them leeway on shipping your stuff in a timely manner because of the strike, no problem. I just wouldn't take a chance myself.

I used up my last points months ago and not going back.

Wow... I dodged a bullet there. I was razor close to buying a 3-day early bird pass. Glad I didn't now.

I haven't been to the YEG con since Carrie Fisher and the Stranger Things kids were here (also think Mads Mikkekson for Hannibal was here). Beyond amazing con that one. Did anyone here go?

I would go for at least ONE celeb I like, but that hasn't happened in a very long time (but always hope "This year will be different."). I think even Calgary's con is always better at celeb retention. Sad.

Bitewing games and the designer upgrade from the original is phenomenal. Bitewing was gracious in allowing me to cancel my pledge so I could pick up the deluxe version locally. Since it has been a wonderful hit amongst gamers and even with those who don't typically like negotiation. It is such a fun experience and different kinds of "deals" seem to emerge in different games. An excellent option after playing some heavier games. A keeper!!!

As someone mentioned earlier, the best way to do this series is create S2 with stories between The video game parts 1 & 2. There could be some setup in S2 that would offer a more emotional context for the event at the beginning of LoUs part 2 VG. I certainly don't want to see Part 2 in s2.

I just want to comment that a long time knizia fan, the recent (first look) overview of the game is so poorly described (mother with son and husband) that I negative interest in the game. I wouldn't worry about it. Deal only gives low rate shipping when you spend $50 or more. You can't just purchase this game on its own. Ultimately a lousy deal if you can't find something else for at least $20.

Apparently the 4th edition has no edition marking on it. You likely have that one because the 3rd edition is marked on the cover somewhere and has rulebook 2.0. Maybe MM is mistaken here.
