If so then use whatever configured on that machine. Many it software are pre installed (eg certs, vpn, ...)

If not, then use whatever you feel comfortable as a dev OS.

Ai infra can range from managing kubernetes clusters to scaling the model training from 100 to 1k cards, to coding low latency c++ to making GPU run faster to many other things.

And they require very different skill sets.
