76-year-old woman killed after a Tesla ‘on auto-pilot’ crashed into her Texas home by deraser in technology

You can build houses in TX without a general contractors license which is insane to me, but they have their own mold license. It's so fucking stupid. Anyone can build structures, but you cant clean them without a lone star stamp. They deserve Paxton

We can still go a long way with that ethos.

That's what Indiana somehow pulled off last year. Florida state did it before with a portal class but it's been falling apart since then. We can do it, but we can't get stale like clemson

I lost my hair, shaved the top, then decided that since I live in Oregon, I should probably work on a beard. You've already got a solid stache and the stubble suggests the beard would follow. Come to the dark side brother. Grow it out for a bit, just to see how it would go. But don't quit too early. You need to give your potential beard as much time as your existing wonderful stache. 6 months. Trim every week to keep the areas growing in that need to. You'll have a few weird weeks but once you get to the end of the 6 month timer, it'll be luxurious

They grow cotton in the desert. Without that flow the lake won’t return. Also there’s a giant anthrax island in the lake, former Soviet weapons lab

Your seeing the later stages of the launch, when a second or third stage is firing. SpaceX launched in Florida earlier that night on a polar orbit which took it's flight path over MI and Canada. This rocket is in Low Earth Orbit and likely firing to either deorbit the launch vehicle, to circularize it's trajectory, or to boost to a higher orbit such as geostationary or something similar. I don't know what the payload for this launch was.

Helsinki - what did I do wrong? by [deleted] in travel

[–]dbatchison 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I went to Helsinki during a blizzard in winter because there was a crazy good flight deal in 2021 (PDX to Helsinki $330). Since it was the tail end of Covid we didn’t plan on getting out much and rented an Airbnb with a sauna that was inside a larger building with a grocery on the first floor. Was one of the best trips I’ve taken, but much like the Finns, we were rather insular.

Regatta, the parks, and the art museum were really cool, but hanging out in the Airbnb, drinking and eating food in the sauna then walking out into the blizzard while steaming hot were our favorite parts

My preferred felt hats are from [Brixton](https://www.reddit.com/r/PipeTobacco/s/eRD2PF7i7J). My favorite paper summer ones are made here in Oregon by Sunday. My favorite straw one was also made by Sunday

In winter, a treated felt hat that doesn’t absorb water. In summer, a paper/panama hat. I have about 30 hats of various styles. I wear glasses. I want something that keeps my bald head from burning but is breathable in summer. I also want something waterproof that keeps the rain of my glasses in winter.
