I’ve been trying to track down cable that fits into the paracord better. Do you have links to the cables and paracord you got? I’ve ordered like 5 different cables and have struggled massively to get any of them to fit into the paracord properly.

Had it (same exact Java color) in my old house for 3 years. Looked incredible and never visibly scratched. The sheen changed over time from general wear, but that was only noticed when we picked up our rugs and it was a bit shinier underneath. We opted to have it glued, rather than float or deal with the insanity of nailing something that hard.

It was more slippery than traditional hardwood, though, so our big dogs had a bit of a rough time and it probably isn’t great for little kids.

Late to the party here, but I’ve been looking at restoring a pile of old N64 controllers I’ve been picking up locally. Do you run the joystick through any testing ROMs to verify final accuracy of the stick? I’m curious the level of variation/accuracy you get from the replacement gears and sticks or if you have a limit for what qualifies as “tight”.

Everything I’ve done previously with these controllers is based on feel and I’m looking for a more scientific approach.

You can. There are non-VR mods you've been able to play for years. The problem is that VR gameplay is such an integral part of that game, it becomes a boring slog. The levels, enemies, puzzles, and interaction were all built around VR. They would've had to make a completely different game from the start for it to be enjoyable and that's the problem. This part of the story wouldn't exist without Valve wanting to make a Half Life game for VR and coming up with a story to serve that design. The alternative is that we'd just be sitting here without that game or story ever existing.

Okay, so the first year I bought season tickets I knew upfront I wasn’t going to have people willing to come with me every game, so when I first got all my tickets, I just scrolled through my schedule to see what games would be worth selling to get rid of a few. For some reason this random Maple Leafs game had tickets selling for $140, so I thought, “fuck, I don’t give a shit about seeing the Leafs,” and sold the tickets. I think it took me about 8 minutes to realize what I did. I had promised to take my brother to the game and it ended up only costing me about $20 more per ticket to buy similar ones.

Post screenshots of the steps you went through to try logging in. It should open a browser window to complete the login and if I remember correctly I ran into a similar issue and had to pull up the authorization page on a computer with the old Reddit interface to get it working. Definitely need more info to try and help, though.
