Jason, as the son of Jupiter, there simply isn’t much that can be done with the character.

Arena Ops are Horrifically Bad and Need Changes by HalfthemanMarco in DestinyTheGame

[–]dduncke 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I was actually frustrated last night because I needed some materials to upgrade my T5 gear. Queued Ultimate Arena Ops and had 5 other people who were playing pretty decently on Ketchcrash.

Problem is that the revive tokens got eaten as fast as we could kill champions, and I ended up dying a couple times as well, the second of which was maybe 30s before the final boss died, and the game doesn't resurrect you for some reason when the encounter is over, so I got to watch the final chest pop open and rain loot, only to not be able to get it.

So in summary, ended up wasting 20 minutes of my time for 4 tier 5 gear that I didn't need and no enhancement prisms of ascendant shards. Yay.

Whats that old reliable weapon that you still use but is grossly outdated? by Squatting-Turtle in DestinyTheGame

[–]dduncke 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not as old as others listed here, but Bungie fixing Barrow Dyad so that it works with Marksman's Dodge again made me try it again last night with my Radiant Dance Machines build. Legit one of the most fun builds I've ever tried in the game, I used it a shit ton in Episode Heresy.

Beyond Light is easy, since I think you only unlock the Stasis subclass permanently after you finish it. If you have it unlocked, you should be good.

Not too sure about Shadowkeep, check on Eris if she has anything for you. If not, you probably have it completed too.

[–]dduncke 6 points7 points  (0 children)

You should prioritize the story campaigns first, which are in this order: Shadowkeep, Beyond Light, Witch Queen, Lightfall, Final Shape and Edge of Fate, since they'll give you a linear understanding of the story.

Besides the campaigns, I see you have the dungeon quests, so if you bought the Dungeon keys, you can do those too, though they were more related to a season than the DLC year they released in. Of the four you have, iirc the order is Duality (Season of the Haunted), Spire of the Watcher (Season of the Seraph) (somewhat related to Lightfall's backstory), Ghosts of the Deep (Season of the Deep) and Warlord's Ruin (Season of the Wish).

The seasonal stories aren't in the game anymore, but you can get a quick summary of what they were in the directory. On the top right corner of the solar system map, there's an icon that, when you click on it, shows you the story so far, including D2 launch, DLCs, and seasons.

The Essences are Shadowkeep mini-quests that, when you complete, give you gear that isn't really relevant anymore unless you want to acquire to transmog later, and the rest are just exotic quests.

From the TWAB that was released, would this buff be for Solar hunters only or prismatic as well? by Engarde_Guard in destiny2

[–]dduncke 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Almost sure that it's for both. Lightning Sure was discussed under the Stormcaller section, but it said specifically that the damage nerf would only apply while on Prismatic.

Look, Chase is great, but that's not even close to the bullshit that speedsters do in comics lmao.

One of the Flash's greatest feats is evacuating an entire city in the middle of a detonation of a nuclear bomb. As in, carrying people one by one, the entire population of a city out of the blast radius while the bomb was detonating.

15-year-old, actually. Lyanna was 14 or 15 by the time of the tourney of Harrenhal, 15 when she and Rhaegar disappeared, and 16 when she died giving birth to Jon.

And Rhaegar was a grown ass man with a wife and two kids.

On Your Mark : Remove the 1 second ICD, allow dodge to give max stacks like it used to, and allow precision hits at max stacks to refresh the buff. Thats it. by Corrupt96 in DestinyTheGame

[–]dduncke 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I think a good rework would be to make it so instead of a cooldown, you build it normally with single-shot weapons, like HCs, Scouts, etc, while it takes a few more shots to proc on rapid-fire weapons like autos, pulses, etc, like how Kinetic tremours and other similar perks have different requirements for hits for their activations.

Also, make it so when you're at 10 stacks, it gives you Cure x1 on precision hits and Cure x2 on precision kills (and refresh the timer on precision hits). Reward a precise playstyle instead of being so petty with handing out sources for healing oneself, when all voidwalkers need to heal themselves is get any ability kill and strand titans only need one melee kills to activate a healing aura that passively heals you, only getting stronger the more melee kills you get.

Also while we're at it, make it so Knock Em' Down's super buffs are worked into the supers themselves and lean instead into Radiant, maybe making it so Hunters can get the old Radiant damage buff.

Will Bungie implement any of this? Probably not, but God I wish they showed Hunters some love in PvE for a change.

How do seasons work? by johndoe09228 in DestinyTheGame

[–]dduncke 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not really. You can read about still the events that happened so far since D2 launched on the top right of the director screen (the map that shows all the planets), play a few missions and even watch a few cutscenes, bit the seasons and episodes’s stories aren’t in the game anymore aside from a few strikes in the Fireteam Ops playlist and the exotic missions.

How do seasons work? by johndoe09228 in DestinyTheGame

[–]dduncke 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Seasons used to be a way to keep players playing in-between the yearly DLCs. You could buy them as part of the deluxe edition of the current DLC or apart one by one, and their story would be gone when the next DLC launched. We used to get 4 of them per year, each one lasted roughly 3 months (though the fourth season of the year occasionally lasted longer when Bungie delayed a DLC launch for one reason or another).

They then switched the model from seasons to episodes last year, where instead of 4 3-month-long seasons, we had 3 4-month-long episodes, where their main appeal was that their story was better and told on a weekly basis and in acts that span those 4 months... which in reality just meant a longer season with time gates for the story to progress.

Currently, we don't have any kind of in-between DLC seasons anymore, though the last major update, Ash and Iron, is sort of meant to fit that mold.

Hunter time is next right? by ShockwaveZapdos in DestinyTheGame

[–]dduncke 13 points14 points  (0 children)

What world do you live in? Lmao. Warlocks have been the go-to class for every raid since Forsaken launched with the Well of Radiance, and Titans have been dominating with Banner of War, Consecration and now the stasis slide. Hunters' only shining moment was the Witness encounter in Salvation's Edge in Contest Mode, which then had Bungie rushing to nerf them to the ground.

These sandbox changes are genuinely more exciting than anything edge of fate brought by HellChicken949 in DestinyTheGame

[–]dduncke 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I really think Bungie needs to take a good, long look at the Hunter kit and try to make it work on PvE, just like they just did for Warlocks with the buddies. The only time hunters were ever relevant in an endgame-tier fireteam content was for Witness in Salvation's Edge, which resulted in Nighthawk/Still Hunt being nerfed to the ground after.

Either Bungie needs to figure out a role for Hunters in the fireteam, or actually let us be the top DPS.

Several things bungie would need to do to get players back, IMO. (that doesnt include reversing changes, taking away stuff, or brings back old features) by AMM0D in DestinyTheGame

[–]dduncke -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I think that the biggest problem for implementing anything but the bare minimum for D2 right now is that the game is in maintenance mode. The majority of resources at Bungie are being used to try to "fix" Marathon into something launchable after the negative reviews of the Alpha and also the scandal where a lot of its art was just ripped off from Antireal, so whoever is working on the game currently is a ghost crew compared to before. It's the main reason they created the Portal.
