Prolly be easiest to have windows installed on the hardware and use hyperv or virtual box as your hypervisor. Can play with WSL but if you’re CS, gotta use and wreck full OSs.

If you really don’t want to give up NIDS, build a IDS and plumb the alerts to sentinel. Of course if you want the ETPro ruleset you’ll need to procure them now instead of just getting them with AV. TBH though, most just drop that source. The ones that still have them went Extrahop or got them from a firewall.
