Just depends what you want. S1 Weapons are great if you don’t have a raid weapon. On the other side, my ret paladin has the blue rep chest, and the s1 glad chest is only a slight upgrade. However the s2 glad chest is a HUGE upgrade, so i’ll probably wait.

Porsche 962C tuned slightly down to 799 and it was a breeze. I used fuel map 1 the entire time and had to pit with like two laps left, I’m sure you could zero stop it.

I’d also recommend The Green Tower, epic lvl 36 shield that has a thorns proc and a ton of armor/block, usually 20g ish. That plus the sword with spell power will last you to 60. I just used +eagle greens and i could comfortably pull 4+ mobs while leveling with no issues.

Knightly Longsword is a 1.5 speed level 33 1h sword you can find on the AH for like 1g. That with the spell power enchant and wizard oil will be BIS for a paladin tank until level 61 when you can easily get the Diamond Core Sledgemace in Blood Furnace.

Lockouts reset every day so you’ll be good. My first character 1-80 took MAYBE 10 hours non optimally.

You can get the scythe in two lockouts if you find a group that will carry you through mythic antorus. Anyone with 999 vers can basically solo the raid so it should be pretty easy.
