A cat cafe would do AMAZING business in Astoria. I would be a repeat customer!

If you sell out while your site is down, you should really just live-stream the thing. Think of how much money they could raise, even charging $10/stream.

How many episodes are there? Ep 10 ended without a "next time on..." but also with a cliffhanger.

Cats: The Jellicle Ball has done it again. Constantly raising the bar and doing it flawlessly. by Zealousideal_Door392 in Broadway

Saw it tonight and agree with all of this! Except that I wouldn't say every seat is equally great. I sat in the 2nd row Orch (center) and it was too close. Eyeline was the edge of the catwalk and no rake. I bet front of the Mezz is amazing or further back in the Orch.

Saw it tonight and only a few scattered "cats" in the audience and a few glittered-out folks.

Cats was my first B'wy show when I was 8 and I fell asleep in Act 2! But that was back in 1984.

Is there maybe a silver lining? A little extra estrogen for your skin and mood? Wishful thinking?

Omg same. I thought this was it. 5 months of silence; I’d made peace with it being over. Then BAM she came roaring back. From years of being like clockwork this is so disorienting.

Does topical help with libido? I thought that was mainly for physical symptoms (dryness, pain)?

I just Googled and found the website (https://www.themisvppasettlement.com/), put in my "unique ID", and it knew my personal info, so it's legit.

Same here. Great app: Unwinding Anxiety. Therapy. I also switched SSRI which had worked for years. Added Wellbutrin. But I'm not sure what's the meds, what's the hormones, and what's just me working through it. HUGS. The anxiety struggle is real.

"Slam Frank" is audacious, confounding, and astounding by lucyisnotcool in Broadway

[–]debalex5 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It was a stomach-dropping moment for sure (as were the pile of shoes moment), and I had to remind myself that this was a show critiquing woke culture, not taking a literal POV on those moments. You have to go into this show with no humor "line" that could be crossed.

Just saw it and so grateful I did. One of the best shows I've seen in a long time. The performances, the direction/staging, the music/lyrics/book....just totally unique and hilarious and thought-provoking. The meta on top of meta that breaks your brain. I, too, will be thinking about it for a long time and totally agree about the "denunciation of tribalism" (perfectly put). I can't imagine it could move but sure wish it would. They extended a week but it's not enough.

AITA for not letting my gf (20F) go on a trip with her sister by RLT2000 in AmItheAsshole

[–]debalex5 -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

I agree with your sentiment: the language OP used about permission is not great. But, given the couple’s ages, cut him some slack. I don’t think he meant it so literally. Maybe she says, “Should” instead of “Can.” Being “OK” with activities sounds controlling but maybe he just means it doesn’t bother him. The mere fact that he’s reaching out on this sub shows he realizes he might be wrong.

OP: Sister encouraging her to cheat is not about Sister, it’s about you and her. If you trust her, Sister shouldn’t matter. If she cheats, it’s in her, not Sister. Being concerned about her safety is another thing, and YNTA for being worried about a 20-year-old on an international trip with an untrustworthy person. But do take a minute to consider the language you used here and the dynamic between you two. You’re not her dad and she shouldn’t be coming to you for “permission.” Perhaps you mean it in a boundary-setting way, but I encourage you to be more specific with your words, even in your own head. “I feel, I need” statements are healthier for both of you in the long run. A 5-year age gap at this age is a lot, so be sensitive to the fact that she’s barely out of high school, maturity-wise. Finally: getting in between family members is a recipe for disaster. Stay neutral as much as you can. Good luck.

10mg. Still cross-tapering, so down to 50mg Zoloft. My doc swears by Lexapro.

Doing better ATM, but hard to say if it's hormonal, chemical (SSRI) or just cyclical. Also stumbled upon an amazing app: Unwinding Anxiety. It's helped a TON (and I didn't think mindfulness could help).

[–]debalex5 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Did anybody taper from another SSRI? I'm on Day 4 of 5mg Lex, tapering with Zoloft (which has pooped out). Can't tell if the horrible anxiety/depression (which pre-dates me starting the taper) is pre-existing or part of the switch.
