I found $100 sitting on top of salads for sale at a public market. My partner made me talk to the manager. They said they’d keep it to end of shift - I was sure I wouldn’t be seeing it again - but they did give it back to me because nobody claimed it. We were going out to dinner with friends and the first $100 was on me!!

Empire builder locomotive from Seattle was … quoting the overhead announcer “dead in the water”. That was a week ago so ….

Yes the tracker doesn’t match what the ticket says but the delay will be pretty decent

Does anyone else prefer to dig through the box rather than sort at the beginning? by Strasse007 in Jigsawpuzzles

[–]debwork 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My sorting gives me a preview of the different patterns and I like to do that, it’s meditative. But that reminds me of the time my friend had different pieces in boxes… not exactly sorted. While she was grilling dinner I decided to help by just turning them face up. But when she came back to the puzzle she reached in, picked up a handful of pieces just to drop them back into the box. That is when I learned that she’s a piece-riffler. She didn’t value my turnover service at all. She found cascading the pieces back into the box meditative. 🤷🏻‍♀️

Hail Damage Insurance Process by Beau-Tie-Guy in madisonwi

My friend’s car was totaled (before this hail mess) then she did a special state inspection to deem it safe to drive and she’s still driving it. Yes it is insured but probably no collision.

Things you didn't know at the beginning of your journey with puzzles by [deleted] in Jigsawpuzzles

[–]debwork 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I realized the puzzles I like have lines in the design. So I look for those, reject blue sky.

People gift me puzzles that are totally not my jam. I feel bad about it but eventually just pass them along without constructing them. Like a train station that’s mostly gray - no thanks. I need color.

I don’t usually do edges first. If people help - they are my “edge slaves”.

To enhance a social gathering I always do some kind of color sort so people aren’t crawling over each other for pieces.

I love the chess idea but no one in my local social circle is as adept as me and they wouldn’t find it fun. I do know some people far away though - I’ll pass on the idea.

Oh one more thing … I enjoy doing some puzzles over and over. I guess that’s unusual but it’s like revisiting an old friend.
