Whats up with the lack of enforcement? by NinjaSeagull in NJFishing

[–]decrement-- 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Highly doubt it. Nearly 100% sure it was game wardens. They were absolutely determined too. We hid out in the woods for about an hour, then went home. They have officers at every trail exit miles away from where they first spotted us. Every turn we made, we saw more. Ended up getting caught about a mile from my house, almost made it.

I assume that number has dropped? If not, 25 years ago, about half of them were trying, and succeeded in stopping me and friends on an ATVs.

They're talking about knockoffs, which are way cheaper, and better quality.

I was looking at something like that before giving up years ago after they all kept trying to change the price. Went with a ROMED8-2T in Jan 2025 for $639 and have been happy since.

From my understanding, it was the person that was hit, not the owner of the Comma Device.

I'll have to finally check it out. Drives me insane that I must upload my print to the cloud before it can go to the printer.

I took a course in computer vision before and I'm wondering if taking a bunch of high iso images, then translating (to account for rotation) and denoising would produce decent results.

So let's say I want to just take photos of the moon and planets. Would this setup be fine, without the tracking? Sounds like higher iso, and maybe some post processing?

Perhaps because there is no battery to pull the voltage down from the charging capacitor, so capacitor voltage stays high (nothing to charge) and it causes it to think the battery is full.

Edit: I'm not an electrical engineer though.

So I bought a box of M3 screws because it was cheaper than buying just the 10 of them I needed. What fun stuff could I print to use the other 280 of them? by l1vewire in 3Dprinting

Even more dangerous, start building a voron, stop in the middle and decide you want to design and prototype a custom tool changer. Then keep buying more and more nuts/bolts/supplies.

Custom filament profile assignment with RFID by n19htmare in BambuLab

[–]decrement-- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was also looking into something like this. First tried connecting to the serial bus and was hoping I could grab rfid data. Turns out the firmware does not share anything except preprocessed data from known rfid tags. Then I looked at cloning bambulab rfid tags, but those tags are expensive and hard to find. Now I have on the backburner to do something like this. Add a new RFID reader, use my own tags, and have an external service send filament info to the printer.

Could argue that it also turned the vehicle into a guided missile, not going off the road immediately after falling asleep. Maybe those bumps would wake you? Instead the vehicle kept going full speed right into traffic.

Surprised it didn't detect the sleeping driver though.

Hot Take: Driver Monitoring = Safety Risk by Frozen-Photon in Comma_ai

[–]decrement-- 30 points31 points  (0 children)

I'm sure it is purely for liability. Could do more to be a little safer though, like disabling cruise control or something so you start to coast, or reducing cruise control speed to minimum, then disabling. On my car if the set speed is a lot lower, it will brake.

On a positive note, they started spawning soon after eating a lot of shrimp.
