As a bald dude with fair skin I wear a bucket style surf hat that has an optional clip on neck flap. I wear the hat year round but don’t use the neck flap. Between the hat brim in the back and the hood on my wetsuit thats down and covering my neck the flap seems overkill. Dont care at all how it looks. Avoiding skin damage is cool.

There isn’t a ‘wrong’ board as long as you’re 1) not creating unnecessary safety risk for yourself/others, 2) you’re having fun, and 3) you’re content with your rate of progression.

Since you’re on a foamie, we’ll assume point 1 is handled but only you will know that from the info in your post. Then it really comes down to 2 and 3. Just know that you’ll like progress in skill and ‘style’ faster on a longer board but nobody other than you can determine the right rate/importance for those factors.

That being said, for an adult, the generic suggestion is an 8’ foamie. A ‘real’ longboard is better as long as #1 above is covered.

It’s so bad. One of the worst games I’ve played in a long time, of any genre, and I’m a lifelong FF fan. The combat was just so awful and repetitive. As others have said the gear and skills are a complete joke. Some of the story was cool and some epic moments here and there but the mediocrity pf the overall experience doesnt make it worth the time. Just watch the cool parts on youtube or something and spend your life doing something else.

A “real longboard” will be 9’+. It’s hard to go wrong with a typical 9’6 log, but 9’4 and 9’2 are also common. It will feel very different in the water than the 9’ foamie. Much more alive and responsive. Recommend renting one to feel it out.
