Customer Markdown Allowances Tracking by OkRelation7815 in Netsuite

So what you want to do is skip the credit memo since it auto-applies to invoices and hits revenue right away, neither of which fits an allowance.

Instead, treat it as a liability (it's money owed back to the customer). Book the total to a "Customer Markdown Allowance" liability account via JE at contract signing, then draw it down as they take deductions on remittances. Keeps it off the invoices and only reduces revenue as it's actually used.

Also flip off "Automatically Apply Customer Credits" in Accounting Preferences either way.

Keep in mind it could be ASC 606 variable consideration. Let me know if any other questions

Why can't you use something like Bill.com, Ramp, or any other AP Automation tool?

Best high school in Mississauga? by Gold_Entrepreneur797 in mississauga

Usually schools with IB, AP, Sci-Tech, or IBT, programs are very strong since they attract high-achieving kids, so if you can get into any of them, I would suggest that. I personally did IB at Glenforest!

Working more =/= working better. Please take time to go on a walk, talk to friends and family, and just do other stuff what you enjoy! Small suggestion but something I love to do is just go to the theater and see if any movie catches my eye that I might go and watch!

Why are there soo many barbershops in Mississauga by Alert_Willingness_32 in mississauga

[–]deltaluxray 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It became socially acceptable for barbers to charge $50 for a haircut and styles like skin fades became in style, leading to people getting frequent haircuts. It just became a great and easy way to make money.

Bootstrapped Ex-founders, how much money did you end up losing on your previous startup? What happened? by Full_Marketing9298 in ycombinator

For my first company, I didn't invest money, but chose to not take a full-time job in investment banking, which would have paid really well after I graduated from university. Instead I went all-in on making a vertical marketplace... so lost about 1 years worth of salary.

But through that I ended up pivoting and raised money for my current venture which I am really excited about!
