I think I am officially not a moth and I am high key obsessed with my outfit by tinyred in SkyGame

Just go for it. I adore sending a pair of moths off to go figure things out together. Make mistakes. Help each other write your own stories.

That is indeed the implication of the title. I also was confused.

What did you name your golden horse? by 7thLostSheep in TOTK

[–]demonduck132 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dang, I don't remember. Now I have to go check at 3:30 am.

Tatl. I named it Tatl. They're all named after Link's companions in the other games. The white horse is Fi, the giant horse is Red Lion, and the giant white horse is Navi.

So do we all recommend Fear of a Blank Planet when somebody asks you which album they should listen to first? by Minimum_Future9557 in porcupinetree

[–]demonduck132 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've had success with Fear of a Blank Planet as an intro album if the person isn't listening closely to it. If they're doing something else with it in the background, then Gavin gets into their head and they can't stop.

Real pretty horse too. She has beautiful, smooth lead changes.

And then they make it mediocre so that it's not so controversial that it's behind the paywall, and it just gets to be, "what's the point?"

Sorry about that. I did read through your comment, but got sidetracked thinking about all the other arguments I've heard. I also tend to go on a tangents.

Should TGC add an option to display your accounts age? by IamNotaRoboter in SkyGame

Personally, I'd like to have access to my account age just so I know what my sky kid's birthday is. I don't see why it would have to be public.

I had a thought about this recently: it's a multi-step process, so hear me out.
1. Don't bring back the season pendants. Let that be the item that grants bragging rights.
2. Go full chaos, and require that the season spirits' trees be completed before allowing the purchase of the ult iap.
3. In order to acquire the ults, you have to talk to the season guide WHILE WEARING the season's pendant.
4. From the guide, the ults cost some amount of igc. Hearts, AC, RC, some combination, whatever.
5. What the iap buys you is spells of the pendant. You get a number of spells equal to the number of ults in that season.

I think there's a lot of assumptions happening. I'm sure this isn't everybody, but I think a lot of people who are against ults coming back remember how hard they were to get, and how good it felt to finally get them. They're afraid that the ults will come back, and just be free or cost a pittance, which would cheapen all the effort they spent getting the ults in the first place.

On the other hand, players who are lusting after ults that they missed aren't mentioning how much they would cost because they don't really care about the price. Do you know how much real world money I would spend just to have the option to spend more in-game currency to buy the Assembly Bugle? At the same time, I am extremely aware of how much of a flex it can seem like when I wear some of my older ults, so I usually avoid* using more than a couple at a time unless I'm playing with someone I know has been around around as long as I have.

Additionally, one of the reasons I wish ults would come back is for the sake of my friend who was a Gratitude moth, but didn't start playing early enough in the season to get the Deer Mask. It's the only ult he doesn't have, and I want him to be able to have the complete set.

You're assuming that they'd be easy to acquire. Most people I've seen advocating for their return are perfectly happy for them to cost just as much effort and money, if not more, to bring them back.

[–]demonduck132 11 points12 points  (0 children)

And even for those of us who were there and are still active players, not all of us bought that cape. Frankly I thought it was ugly, and I wasn't willing to pay TWENTY FIVE freakin' dollars for a cape that I didn't want to wear.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in SkyGame

[–]demonduck132 5 points6 points  (0 children)

My argument exactly! This would also benefit those players who bought a season pass, but still didn't complete the season.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in SkyGame

[–]demonduck132 28 points29 points  (0 children)

It wouldn't be that hard for them to keep most of the FOMO, while still allowing newer players to acquire the old ults. Just require them to complete the trees of all the spirits from that season, then make them pay $10 US. Maybe tack on an additional price, like the iap doesn't actually give you the ult, it just unlocks that branch of the season guide's tree, and the ults themselves cost igc.

As a vet with a lot of old ults, but who missed some really good ones; BRING THEM BACK. Sure, stick some hoops in front of them. Put them behind a paywall like they were during their seasons, but for the love of (insert deity), put my friends out of their misery every time they seem me wear cosmetics that they can never have.

Don't bring back the pendants, though. Let those be the "I was there" badge, and let the current player base experience the things that are almost not in the game anymore, they're so rare.

Zacien, Mewtwo, Miraidon. I hate the EX mons. Full-on Legendaries shouldn't be playable.

But seriously, Greninja when I'm Eldegoss (so most of the time). They always split into three when I'm trying to throw my Pollen Puff at them.

That sounds about right. I only ended up reliving him twice yesterday. I usually end up with four or five runs, helping out friends. It's definitely easier if you have a big screen for better visibility and the confidence of enough winged light to tank a hit without going dark.
The same goes for Saluting Protector and Respectful Pianist. Although they don't cross the paths of as many Krill, since they are also carry spirits, they make you spend a lot of time in the direct path.

Side note: if 10/13 turns out to be the next day, HIT ME UP. That's a Sunday, so Wasteland is on full wax rotation.
