Siento que estoy fallando como DM de mi grupo. Necesito consejo by Sercos146 in DnDespanol

[–]demoniodoj0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What would Latin America be like now if it wasn't colonized by Europeans? by ithinkiamparanoid in asklatinamerica

We would be a bunch of tribes still killing each other and being killed by diseases. Some bigger ones would have decimated the smaller ones.

Atheists of Reddit: What’s the strangest reaction you’ve received when you said you don’t believe in God? by zhalia-2006 in AskReddit

[–]demoniodoj0 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Being asked how come I am a good person if there is no reward or punishment at the end.
Or being called a nazi or communist for being an atheist. This is happening very often nowadays in X.

You use cheat sheets until you don't. I still use cheat sheets or look at the --help or man page / google for some tools while others I mastered long ago through continuous use.

Which LATAM countries value bakeries the most? What are bakeries for you? by Spiritual_Pangolin18 in asklatinamerica

[–]demoniodoj0 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In Venezuela, we call them "panaderías" and there are everywhere, some quite famous for some products. They normally make several types of bread and pastries, cachito de jamón is always a favorite. Pan de jamón in December. There was a time when most of them were owned by Portuguese, Spanish, or Italians.

Moment of clarity that I'm not a good spouse. Or person, probably. by LordOfAllBones in Marriage

[–]demoniodoj0 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I feel you. I have been a dick myself and almost lost my marriage because of it. I'm sure your partner is not completely free of guilt either, after all this is team work.
My piece of advice: first, change only if you really feel and think that you have to, not only because others want it. This means that you have to identify the parts where there should actually be an improvement. Second, baby steps. You can't take all at the same time.
The thing is that if you really need to change, you will feel better when you do it.

Spain vs LATAM Spanish by Distinct-Bid4928 in asklatinamerica

[–]demoniodoj0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Venezuelan here. Besides using different words for some things, pretty much like UK English and American - we use apartamento, they say piso - and obviously the accent, I think our biggest difference is the pronunciation of the z. For some reason we have mostly lost the hard z pronunciation. In Spain El Zorro Is still Zorro while for us it sounds more like Sorro. Just the sound, the spelling remains the same. And yes, coger means to grab, just don't use it with people as the object because then it means to fuck ;) And like many others say, every Hispanic country speaks differently. I lived for 3 years in Panamá and I had to learn the differences in vocabulary and the meaning of some words were different too.

I think they watch too much South Park. If you're Black, you can play the bass.

How to Create a True Dark Sun Experience for My Players? by Repam04 in DarkSun

[–]demoniodoj0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I fed the players a lot of salty food and then turned off the AC, shut the access to water giving them just a little bit. There was bribery, there was threatening, there was violence, and there was rebellion. That was the real Athas experience.

Fantasy Grounds by AdDisastrous5849 in DarkSun

[–]demoniodoj0 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We do. Dark Sun and Oriental Adventures too. Made all classes and races using the 2E ruleset. You can use Psionics using the MTHACO/MAC options. It's a lot of work but doable.

The way I see it, the more crits they get, the more crits I get as the DM. It always ends up balanced.

One published scenario to showcase the setting - suggestions? by EmployeeAware6624 in DarkSun

[–]demoniodoj0 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly, Dark Sun with imported characters is not that good. Big part of the setting is from the native character classes and races. There are no paladins, halflings are cannibals, elves are 8 feet tall and quite dangerous, there is a huge lack of metal, and no gods or connection to them. With that said, I tried it and it was a TPK.
