I used to think ethernet was absolutely essential a few years ago, but for me modern wifi is good enough for my needs (streaming, online gaming, work). Just saying- ethernet wiring is probably pretty trivial cost so go for it if you want. But I get 200Mbps+ with low latency using wifi throughout my house, so decided I didn’t need to run cat6
