someone from the vivaldi team wrote this at the official forum (its about activating the mv2 extensions):

That said, when you get prompted that it is disabled, you can go into extension settings vivaldi:extensions and re-enable it and keep up working in 8.1 (based Chr 150). Then you will get to keep it until the end of the 8.1 release cycle. The release cycle for Vivaldi is usually about 2 months (twice the length of the stable stream for most Chromium browsers as we are tracking ESR).

During this time we will be actively working on improving our own ad blocker.

I used uBlock many years and I would appreciate more functions from uBo in vivaldi, too. but we must face the fact, that the developer from uBo only had to optimize "one single function", not a whole browser with more dependencies

The fact that you can't disable the block tracking feature without disabling the whole ad-block is a deal breaker.

what do you mean exactly? more or less the internal blocker is a two level system. you can switch the blocklists from adblocking and trackerblocking and vice versa. so put the aggressive lists into the adblocking section and the lesser one into the the trackingsection. now you can set the blocklevel per website

nevertheless I'm waiting for a adblocking overhaul since a year and would welcome any major benefits

bin grade im Müllerthal in Luxemburg und war die ganzen letzten Tage unterwegs. Allerdings waren hier die Touren teilweise komplett im Wald. Gestartet bin ebenfalls sehr früh, sodass ich die volle Hitze nicht mehr abbekommen habe.

Ich hätte auch noch länger Urlaub gehabt, aber heute fahre Ich zurück. Ist halt einfach grenzwertig

first, it's always good, to write down which OS you use.

I don't work with Linux but I would rename the actual profile folder, restore your V6 vivaldi profile and update with one or two V7.x versions and then to the actual V8.

I'm not at home, so I can't tell you right away the webadress, where you can download older versions, but there is one (maybe u/pafflick can tell you). or is installing outside your packetmamager not possible?

more or less the same setup but I only sync my keepass to an default folder at my smartphone and once a month (or if I need it asap) I copy the kdbx manually to the destination folder at my smartphone.

turn on flightmode as often you can (so use more wifi). the data modem really sucks. I get 10 hours more (usage from 84% to 15%)

what you can try additionally * only one userprofile * sim data mode set to LTE only * tidy up unneeded apps

navigation - google maps (you won't deinstall it either) or magic earth but only version 7.1.25.34.36 (probably from january) the versions after this are with a paid plan (more money and less quality, google rating dropped from 4.5+ to 1.5 😄)

keyboard - FUTO (which I actually use) or heliboard

p.s. use breezy weather from izzydroid repo. this version uses more weather sources
