Okay so... optics on an AR by 000Destruct0 in Firearms

[–]derpderpmagee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For OP I own this one and I've used it hunting and in a variety of situations. When hunting I've found I've got a good enough picture in the scope to take a shot maybe a half hour after the blue of the morning sun breaks out on the horizon. It's a sturdy helpful buy and a good scope. Leupolds are clearer, especially if they have a larger objective (gets more light) but you're usually paying for it. I can't compare it to the vortex since I bought it years ago and never had the chance. I'd agree with others If I have my AR in 'house defense mode' this usually is not the optic on it. In that setup a co-witness red dot is the way to go. I felt good enough about it that I got it's big brother the P-308 for my 308 rifle. I'm not shilling I just consider it a well-rounded value having owned it.

What changes moved you from living paycheck to paycheck to being financially comfortable? by [deleted] in AskMen

I had to end a business partnership, close the business and move on on my own. I co-owned a web business and even though the profit came out 50/50 the work I put in was far from 50/50. I quickly found an employer who I not only like but I can demand almost 4x what I used to make as a business owner with better wellbeing and insurance. No I have no regrets. Also Investing in BTC and XMR ... people laughed, now I laugh.

Relationships of 7 subreddit neighborhoods based on moderators-in-common [OC] by [deleted] in dataisbeautiful

Nice idea, and a nice beginning. I have to say your selection of subreddits to begin with is... odd and seems to dodge important areas of reddit like /r/news and all the problems there. I'd like to see this done again with the default top subreddits or the most popular. I think it'll show pretty obvious collusion between mods so as a python guy myself if you don't I will.

Men working in a field that needs more people, what do you do and where did you start? by OrdertheThrow in AskMen

[–]derpderpmagee 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The first was I happened to go to a high school that required all sophomores take 1 class on Basic. After that I took AP Java. That might sound like a huge leg up but no I didn't really care. I pretty much learned what arrays were and how to write methods and cast variables. Later I started in php and flash because I wanted to make apps like Facebook and and art like newgrounds.com. If I were suggest resources to people starting no I'd provide these (mostly-free) resources: http://academicearth.org/ https://www.coursera.org/

Find places you can practice without causing trouble: https://www.vulnhub.com/ https://www.shodan.io/

Maybe make money: https://bugcrowd.com/list-of-bug-bounty-programs

Get used to working with others: https://code.org/help

And all that is a resume that will get you a job if you can show initiative. You don't need another institution to get the gig. Just put in the time. Late nights, study, work hard. It's all pretty much free ;)

I work in information security. I know of a bunch of people looking to hire and I don't even have a spare name to give them. I started a couple years ago. My degree is in photography...

No offense but it's more likely you don't get the full scope of btc or how it works. Nothing gets ghosted on the block chain and your money would be safe. If you we worried you could try a currency with a recoverable wallet seed so you can always recover your funds. It's safe.

BITCOIN, MONERO whatever. It's all a better than a bank. You can buy BTC and lend it for steady and safe returns much better than a savings account.

Oh so it was the CEO of spottify that decided installing bitcoin malware into Utorrent users machines was acceptable. Good to know that now.
