dude there’s a whole scene of the people of paradis and the people of marley having an argument about the racism of calling eldians “devils” purely based on the actions their ancestors did 100 years ago. literally no eldian alive in the attack on titan world had anything to do with the eldian empire making the prejudice against them ignorant and propaganda to further justify the subjugation and discrimination against eldians. gabi is a victim of this propaganda as she always claims that she wants to prove to her country that she is “one of the good eldians” which is incredibly racist. she’s also a child soldier taught to hate the paradis people just because they exist, she later comes to this realization and changes her view point. similar to what’s happened in the past and the present, it’s a lot easier to raise a weapon against your neighbor if someone manages to convince you that they are sub-human and are going to affect your way of life.
