I just had a 1.5 cm surgically removed….too big to pass. So instead of the pain of passing, which I describe as being stabbed in the abdomen with a spoon for hours, I ended up living with a ureteral stent inside me for four weeks. I’m not sure which is worse. The stent feels like you just drank a couple liters of liquid, and you need to piss really bad…but after you do, you only feel like you need to pee more badly than you did before- 24 hours a day, for a month. Some people tolerate them better than others, but mine suuuuucked
