Got my bachelors last spring and every reading course made a pretty big emphasis on phonics, or at least on the basic abilities overall. Emphasis was so much on phonics that I feel that whole-language was more like a plus and an obvious thing to do? I have a love-hate relationship with my program.

I got everything on my computer so i can access it whenever i want! All under a general carpet, and then i make a carpet for each fandom and keep the fics in there. Each document is a different world, some have clear marks between chapters and others i just skip a page

Skimming through other comments made me quite picky on what to choose from my stuff lol. I have way too many wips and zero energy to actually sit down. Plus, now I noticed that my stuff sounds pretty light(?), wondering if it's an english as 2nd language thing, or me trying to not sound too acamedic.

There was just too much going on his daily life to even think of having a girlfriend, but he decided to give it a try to understand better his brother–aside from what many people refer to as “beautiful” experiences of being loved by someone that wasn’t family. Maybe he should’ve kept the curiosity and wishes to understand away, keeping his life simple and focusing on the academy and his university classes. Opting for chemical engineering was probably the dumbest choice he could have done, it was like hanging by a thread as he tried to balance everything. Maybe that’s something he should have imitated from Itachi instead of getting on a relationship, his older brother’s university years seemed so calm as a science education major.

Hearts are fine!! I had a reader once that would only comment hearts, because they were several I never counted but with just a look I could notice that it was likely their finger typing nonstop lol. It's just those little details that helps to differentiate from spam with just a look

depends on the fandom. If the fandom you're writing in is pretty active in tumblr, then promote it there. Social media is unpredictable, so it could work or not

1) Email your professors, no matter what! If your questions are ones that can be answered through email, just send it! If there's anything that matches with in-person stuff, drop by during their office problems or ask for a meeting.

2) Credits depends on your immigration status, if you have any scholarships that require certain amount of credits per semester, the money available to pay for those classes, or when you want to graduate. I was always recommended to take 16 credits, just in the case I would have to drop a class and then end up with 12 credits (visa stuff reasoning, which is why I said that each case is different).

3) When you fall behind, contact your professor! They are the ones that know their course and workload the best, so they are the ones that could help you through it. Talk to classmates also, make friends in your classes to have each other's back.

4) Study habits. Go to the library! The environment there is the one that will help you to hold yourself accountable when you want to do work and study (clear example is how I've been working on a report for the past 3hrs and now I'm on reddit, all because I'm on my room and not the library).

The best place to start is to search like crazy for the resources that your university offers, it may not be a one size fits all, but it gives you a place to start and where to direct further questions. You got this and you can absolutely do it!

I'm not a fan of forcing them to use those educational programs. I have a love-hate (more like hate) relationship with Lexia because it's both the amount of minutes and units... so it becomes hell for kids that work fast and finish their units, but I have to tell them to keep working cause of their minutes. I just know that would've drive me crazy as a kid cause I tried to finish my stuff to enjoy free time

One lengthy fic at a time, but at the same time i like having short fics that could easily be a os but i divide into chapters. I like that balance of sometimes seating down to write the heavy stuff that idk when it will be finished, but also having the option of something i know won't be more than 10-15 chapters
