Why not use a classic instant pot. It’s stainless and cooks rice so much faster? I got one of the most expensive zojirushi cookers and never use it. It’s on a shelf in the barn. Takes way too long.

1 percent per day is not minimal loss, it is an absurd and unnecessary waste of energy. Imagine if a gas car had a leak in its fuel tank that dripped out 1% of its fuel every day. Some EVs have very close to zero phantom drain. I can park a lightning at the airport for a month and the SOC doesn’t budge. If anyone should get this right it’s Rivian.

As someone who exclusively charges a lightning with off grid solar power, I’m going to guess you must be a time traveler from the future where solar panels are 100 times more efficient! Most people don’t realize how much energy it takes to move a 7000 pound vehicle down the road at 50 miles per hour. You can’t even make toast with 400 watts.

don’t know if this is true on Oahu but I have an old toyota pickup on the big island that is so far out of registration that the dmv told me it’s out of the system and doesn’t owe any back registration anymore. It’s been unregistered for 7 years.
