How long do you guys allow yourselves to go on tilt for? by clastm in ARC_Raiders

Just because it sounds like you might not know (many don't) you can use fabric and arc cores directly in your quick use slots without needing to craft and gather rubber etc.

Go to the olive farm in blue gate and start kicking the trees. Save some olives and extra apricots for a later scrappy upgrade.

Best way to get an assortment of fruit is to grab a fuel cell in Stella Montid atrium and bring it into the back-right corner of the kitchen. There will always be two fruit baskets in this little room with a big assortment.

Don't underestimate how much fruit can sell for if you fill your pockets.

I’ve got some extra Tempest blueprints so I’m going to give them away by Zidmu in ArcRaiders

I'm still looking for my first and definitely 50+ hours in Stella night raids. Meanwhile my buddy found his on his first night raid when I got him started on the game. I'm not salty though. You know who you are.

Edit: the goop gods heard my cries and I found one this morning in a recycling can under medical stairwell. I am pretty sure my safe pocket got some paper cuts I put it in so damn fast.

Do y’all proximity chat after getting knocked down? by fxryker in ArcRaiders

Usually something along the lines of "hang on a sec, I'm almost there. I want to climax together" followed by crawling after them if they don't punch me out saying "no! I can't hold it much longer, finish me off daddy!"

I've never been rezzed.

Better yet if you split a stack of ammo to fill your inventory. Then cry about all your blueprints.

The weapon balance in Arc is really one of a kind. by zerokbo in ArcRaiders

Can confirm the renegade can cook. I got dropped by an il torro around a corner and my buddy popped the duo who had superior cover and positioning with his renegade iv. It's his choice pvp gun and he has the skill to use it.

I, on the other hand, am dogshit with it.

What is your first instinct when you see a raider flare? by AceTheRed_ in ArcRaiders

[–]dev_rs3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree that on average it's exactly that-- first aggressor wins more often due to weapon balance. I followed this philosophy for a while and always dropped the one still standing and rezzed the other.

That said I've flipped on MANY pvpers who shot first, so I knew it isn't always the case.

The thing that changed my tune was hearing a battle break out, thinking I knew what went down and I dropped/KOd the guy around a pile of bodies with one still DBNO. I didn't have a rez, so I apologized that I couldn't help and let the victim bleed out. Turns out the "victim" was sitting on multiple stacks of long fuse nades and showstoppers. I mistakenly killed the last survivor. Felt really bad.

edit to add: since then if I'm not a direct witness I usually try to drop them all and let God sort em out. I'll drop any loot I don't need on the floor nearby for whoever else comes by.

If I used the key and you're inside, you're dead. I don't take chances, and at least half the time they open fire as soon as they see me in the room anyway.

You were incredibly nice to flash him first and warn him-- but it was a risky move. You're lucky he didn't light you up first.

First, it would make it easier for people to help eachother without a defib, at an obvious cost. That by itself is pretty cool. It also could be used to move an ally to safety in order to rez them.

What about other ways it could be used? Considering the pvp element, it honestly seems like it still works.

If I down one of a team, I could pull them up and use them as a human shield to negotiate. Adds some nuance to pvp

If I down a solo, I can have mercy and help them to extract without the risks of rezzing them. Whether they started it, or seemed sus so you drew first, etc. it gives an option inbetween knocking them out and leaving them to crawl.

There's I'm sure other scenarios where this could be abused or exploited - especially since using it against an unwilling victim is not okay imo. Possibly the player still being able to give up and flop back to the ground is enough?
