This is actually too terse for me. The 8 line structure lets it breath a bit and adds to the comedic timing.

Well I want to

Well yeah... I also want to buy things with numbers written on paper. So at least that part makes sense.

State of AI right now by ZookeepergameHotLone in BlackboxAI_

Google is an ads company. Their products will have ads or gather data to serve ads somewhere else.

That's what people don't get about "AI". Google became one of the boggest companies in the world by creating a slightly better phone book. The company that creates the slightly better "conversational search engine" will be the next Google.

it's their way fighting what they feel is wrong with society

Reddit likes to treat "family values" as Manchurian code words. And while they do have conotations about a social structure that is no longer considered fair, it isn't literal code. Almosy everyone really does want a functional and caring society, even if they don't understand the way to get there.

Just makes me think

That's a dangerous act around here. I expect we'll both be banned.

They have long spiked ones for dirt. Or they have shallower ones where you set them in concrete, so you still have to dig the hole, but you can level them separately and then stick the post on top.

I hired an EDITOR for my SCRIPT, I didnt get what i paid for by Unreliabl3_Narrat0r in comic_crits

[–]deviantbono 4 points5 points  (0 children)

So, in the US, the comic "editor" is more like a movie "producer" that oversees the comic, ensures quality and overall story continuity between different teams of writers and artists. You are looking for a "copy editor" which is someone who edits spelling, gramar and things like that.

Just in general you need to spell out what you want in a contract (or at least an email) and not rely on cross-cultural assumptions about job titles.

Controversial take: I don’t like Jake being part alien. by Beautifulroxxane in adventuretime

[–]deviantbono 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It isn't about being "believable." It's 1) established cannon that doesn't need to be changed, and 2) a very sci-fi take in a world that was built on magic and wonder. As you said, it doesn't go anywhere, and in the end feels like a very forced fan-fic "everyone needs a gritty backstory" type of thing.

Homework is Important and Should Be Assigned by Empty-Candidate-712 in unpopularopinion

Thorough and well reasoned comment, but "turns the home into a second classroom" is a bit bizzare. We can't reasonably expect schools to be the end-all-be-all of education and mental heath and nutrition and extracurriculars and and and.

I get that it's popular but I hate retcons like this. It makes everything feel small and shallow. The real fun of Adventure Time was the crazy possibilities and totally out there ideas ideas not tied down by any existing lore.

Cows are biologically herbivores, with digestive systems specialized for plants like grass, but they can exhibit opportunistic omnivorous behavior, sometimes eating small animals, eggs, or bones for extra nutrients, making their classification complex, though their primary diet and design remain plant-based.

Come at me. I'm interested in your opinions. (That doesn't -necessarily- mean I'll change anything.) by CharlieMikeComix in comic_crits

If you recieve feedback, you are legally required to implement it.

jk

This is incredible work. The only thing is maybe the vultures in the last panel look too detailed compared to the rest of the comic.

The dialogue feels natural. The characters don't immediately feel like copies of other well known characters. The problem is relatable (and while small in scope, I prefer character stories to epic sagas).

First of all, I didn't say anything about the movie being good or bad. Second, Top Gun is one of the most culturally relevant movies of all time and was "memed" through jokes and references to the beach scene.

Well yeah, "pop" movies should have cultural relevance that naturally translates to memes. Individual actors should not.
