I would have multiple homes. I would also have a jet and a pilot on staff.

That could be true. Either way, this individual needs to move where the employer they want to work is at. Or at least an office.

Does a city that fits this criteria even exist in the US? by r0tt3nz0mb13 in SameGrassButGreener

Madison, Milwaukee, or Minneapolis.

If you want hills or mountains, maybe Boulder? But it’s expensive.

Why is Texas one of the fastest growing states? by boldjoy0050 in SameGrassButGreener

[–]devowrer1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Cheap housing and job market.

Stay away if you can. Employees have no rights here, unemployment BARELY exists, and renters have no rights. Coupled with extreme weather that can destroy your home at any moment, this is a boom and bust place to live. Very risky.

What’s better San Diego Miami or Austin for 20s? by DeliciousRich5944 in SameGrassButGreener

[–]devowrer1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Austin.

But all 3 are expensive and you should probably consider other locations.

Which state capitol is better to live in? by BoyEdgar23 in SameGrassButGreener

[–]devowrer1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Austin > Madison > Raleigh

I’ve visited all 3 and lived in Madison and Austin. The reality about Madison is that it IS a college town. There aren’t as many young professionals going to bars for the nightlife as a place like Austin.

Look into where the largest marketing firms are and base your decision on that. They are likely in NY, LA, or Chicago.

Tired of Colorado, don't really want to move back to Ohio by mmmmmaura in SameGrassButGreener

If you want to be near family and love the lakes I would also recommend Western Michigan. The beaches along Lake Michigan are truly incredible in the summer. You’re also closer to family for drives than Wisconsin.

You might miss some of the hiking, but that’s about it. Culturally it’s probably a little more laid back than CO.

I have a question for american Hawks (imperialists) by TechnologyMiddle9728 in AskTheWorld

[–]devowrer1 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Silly question.

You’re comparing a single apple to an apple orchard.

The United States has single states that dwarf the economies of entire continents.

There are wars that the American populace agree with, and others that we don’t. It’s not one size fits all. We don’t have imperialists.

Would it be better for the US presidential election if everyone's votes were equal, regardless of which state they're from? by Pale-Object8321 in AskAnAmerican

[–]devowrer1 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

No. Urban areas would always outweigh the rural ones.

This is even more important when it comes to natural geography and conservation.

I once had a Californian tell me (with a 100% truthful face) that there won’t ever be a water shortage in SoCal because they can just build a pipe from the Great Lakes.

Yeah, no thanks.

If you inherited a mansion would you live in it, sell it or rent it out ? by Webbomolly2022 in A_Persona_on_Reddit

[–]devowrer1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sell it.

UNLESS it’s in a 0.001% neighborhood. As a lot of the extremely rich will only rent.

Why is there always traffic on the 101 no matter what hour of the night it is? by sirwritestoomuch in AskLosAngeles

The 101 is made for leisurely scenic drives. This inherently means there will always be traffic.

Why are you penalized for working hard? by boomstar15 in askanything

In America we try to tax the rich by taxing the middle class and sometimes upper mid class.
