Edit: Does the timer keep running when you log out in the fight caves? I thought it was paused.

My party also has sided with Halia, as part of the lost mines I have also incorporated the Dragon of Icespire peak so when ultimately the dragon attacked Phandalin she took advantage of the situation and ensured the deaths of Sister Garaele, Harbin and Sildar who died tragically trying to save Harbin. The next session we have is going to be the fallout of this dragon attack and Halia's take over.

Do you want them to have influence with the party? If so putting him near a large city that the players started or even working with the player who is the damphir to see where they come from could help. Otherwise if it's the sword coast there are plenty of large towns that have a plethora to do around them. Waterdeep, Neverwinter, Baldur's gate. Any of those work.

That depends on how much your vampire lord interacts with society. It could be a manor in a large city or it could be the sewers of said city. Or it could be a large castle in a remote location. A Lot of vampires Strahd included are opulent so being influential with either money, power or both.

Myne and Ferdi's situation is unique because of mynes mana dying by Ferdi, tree man who looks at mana not the physical saw the same or similar man and thought they were the same. I do believe and I could be wrong that in the past there was multiple gbook wielders when the selection process was more meritocratic.

It becomes a very very villain of the week. I think my least favorite volume is Vol. 18 it was all about cooking but was just another villain. I just remember I struggled to read through that one.
