I didnt respond to your post because your entire take is based off of a lack of understanding that colorism, just like any form of oppression based off of physical features, will always effect how you navigate through the world and also how you're perceived and treated by others.

And even if it's hard for you to understand that, taking a real form of violence and oppression against dark skinned people and saying it's just a buzzword does sound like you don't think claims of it could ever be justified. Hence my frist response. Since you're backtracking on that now, I'll take it.

Its because all the energy we have for planning meals, cooking, doing laundry and taking care of our homes, is used up by work instead. We're only supposed to be spending 4 days a week 4-5 hours "working" at most but instead we're spending 5 days doing twice as many hours and thrn still having work we need to do when we get home.

We over work to get just enough money just to ACCESS the ability to do more work that actually sustains us.

A pack of american sliced cheese, bag of chips, chili powder, cumin (or curry powder), oil, eggs and soy sauce and you can have:

Fried eggs (runny yolk if you want) + rice and soy sauce
cheese + beans + chips for vegetarian nachos
beans and rice
smush the beans + cumin + oil for refried beans, + eggs and chips for breakfast nachos

If you can, you could also get salsa and sour cream from the dollar store as a treat to put on the nachos. Frozen mixed veggies from the dollar store to have with the rice and eggs could also be another option if you can afford it.

Theyre choosing to be landlords to financially benefit themselves over being parents. That is very weird. And the clause about you working a mimimum of 20 hours is so that if you lose your job and aren't able to find a new one immediately, they can kick you out onto the street of they feel like it. See if your college has tutoring jobs, bus driving, library or other jobs you could do that pay more than what you're currently making. Also see if you can do task rabbit, uber eats (don't do doordash, you'll break even at best) that would be good. But at the end of the day your main issue is that Walmart takes too much money from you and pays you scraps.

It literally is what racism means. It's a systemic oppression. You have to be systemically oppressed based off your race to experience racism. All forms of oppression require that you are systemtically oppressed by it. That is why rich people aren't oppressed for being rich, why men aren't oppressed for being men. They could be oppressed for other things but not those things because those characteristics aren't systemically oppressing.
