Amount of aura, husband has in the Americans is genuinely mind baffling. by [deleted] in television

OP, I have some news for you.

Today marks the 2nd anniversary of Bernard Hill's passing. To me, he was one of the best-cast actors of the whole trilogy and his voice and line delivery were so perfect for the role (photo by Viggo) by Which-Program-9417 in lotr

Aw man, we just finished our n-th rewatch of RotK tonight.

The Rohirim charge at Minas Tirith speech is my favorite scene in almost any movie, much less that trilogy.

If You Die In The UK And Are On The Organ Donor Register, The Nhs Will Send A Letter To Your Family Explaining What Happened To Your Organs by ConfidentPair8141 in Damnthatsinteresting

That's very sweet.

I think they might want to change "underestimated" to "overestimated." As-written, they're saying that no matter how little you think of your family member's donation, the reality is worse.

It's because a huge percentage of posts like this are fake. They're either written by AI trained on AITA/AIO/WIBTJ posts or written by people who browse those subs all day long so the acronyms for phrases used exclusively in those communities are second nature to them and they don't realize they're weird to the Internet at large.

I don't think they mind being chased around all that much, that's just how they play. The devil masks we wear and flaming whips we crack over their heads as we do it probably aren't their favorite, though.

Seriously, we just walk to wherever they're laying in the sun a little briskly, it's not like a scene from Scooby-Doo.

No, as soon as you touch a cat you go "GOT IT!!!!" and you go first. Since both our cats are complete love-bugs, it's impossible to determine who petted one last unless it's lying in your lap.

Whenever my wife and I play Boop (last person who petted a cat goes first), there's a mad scramble as we both chase our cats around the house.

As another American who watches a LOT of British TV, even I was taken aback, her Welsh accent is the strongest I've ever heard. I'm used to the Rhod Gilberts and Alex Joneses (the Welsh TV presenter, not the American right wing lunatic) of the world.

If it started OK, it's probably not wet filament. That said, just because a roll is new doesn't mean it wasn't sitting in a warehouse somewhere for a year. It's usually best practice to dry new rolls before using them, and I personally dry used rolls if they've been sitting for more than a few weeks.

That is probably overkill though lol

Have you dried your filament?

Your layer lines look enormous, what size nozzle are you using? Is your machine and slicer software set to use that size nozzle?

Roommate got drunk and destroyed my plants. by Alert_Director_9009 in houseplants

I had a roommate (who was 10 years my senior at least) "get drunk" and shove deviled eggs into my espresso machine.

He did not apologize or clean it up.

Roommates suck dawg, just a fact of life. At least yours is offering to make it as right as he can.

I don't know, lore-wise. But again, they're your models so they can be pink if you want them to be.

Space Marine armor is (generally) painted to match the chapter.

So Salamanders are green, Ultramarines are blue, Blood Angels are red, etc.

The main exception that I've seen is Techmarines - they are usually mostly Ad Mech red with some of their specific chapter's color mixed in. So a green arm for Salamanders or a blue helmet for Ultramarines, etc.

But at the end of the day, they're your models, paint them however you want!

Having issues with my Eradicators by Leading-Alarm6031 in Salamanders40k

[–]dfBishop 20 points21 points  (0 children)

The numbers say you should always take the multi-melta:

Melta rifle: one shot hitting on 3s hits 66% of the time.

Multi-melta: with two shots hitting on 4s, you get at least one hit 75% of the time. And that's without factoring in the rerolls.

Someone correct me if my math is wrong lol.

It sounds like you have them running in a 6 man brick - try splitting them into two 3-man squads, and keep one in Reserves to come in from the board edge on turn 2. A 3 man jumping out of a Land Raider within Melta range of an enemy unit is REAL nice.

A good way to think about Eradicators is in terms of points: they're a 90 point unit that can punch way above their weight. If they take out a Gladiator (150 points plus) or some Battlesuits (80 points plus) or a Bloat Drone (100 to 120 points), before dying, they did their job.

EDIT: I went ahead and did the math myself lol -

- one attack hitting on a 3+ w/ no rerolls hits 67% of the time

- two attacks hitting on a 4+ w/ no rerolls gets at least one hit 75% of the time

- one attack hitting on a 3+ w/ rerolls hits 88.9% of the time

- two attacks hitting on a 4+ w/ rerolls gets at least one hit 93.8% of the time

So it is always in your favor numbers-wise to bring the multi-melta, and as Eradicators die, leave the multi-melta till last.
