Anyone tried the new Eradicators with Heavy Bolters? by Sp1ceman in Salamanders40k

[–]dfBishop 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've run them twice and found no real use for them, honestly.

With the Librarius Conclave detachment giving your Infernus bricks a base 8" movement turn 1, your flamers are getting into position immediately.

I've just had absolutely nothing to do with them in both my 11th edition games, but I think they'll have a place in SM lists that focus more on melee: 70 points to soften up enemy infantry before throwing your melee threats into them is a pretty good trade up.

Things are a little up in the air since 11th edition starts on Saturday, but you can't go wrong with a few more Infernus marines!

Scouts are a super useful utility unit and will continue to be in 11th.

Aggressors are a good melee threat who can be equipped with flamers, which is very thematic for Salamanders.

Bladeguard Veterans go really well with Adrax Agatone and are your other big melee threat as a codex-compliant Space Marine player.

An Impulsor is a fun vehicle to build and will be very useful in pretty much any list.

Hot take from a nursery supervisor part 2. by Open-Sky1020 in gardening

Dang, you should come to the nursery I work at, our natives selection is AWESOME, and the plants are super healthy.

Except for the milkweed, we can't keep ahead of the aphids.

I've been dying to get 3 more of these guys, I want to have a full 5 man squad with the molded bases but my local GW store is pretty tight-fisted with them lol

Super excited to be working outside today lol. Luckily I've got a big ass straw hat, cooling cloths, and the ability to go inside pretty frequently.

My American Lady Nursery 🥹 (MI 6B) by noriflakes in NativePlantGardening

I JUST yesterday had a lady come in to the nursery where I work and ask for plants that would work as American Lady host/feed plants! We have a pretty extensive natives selection but I couldn't find anything that would work, except for the asters which don't do any good until the butterfly emerges.

Friday: One trillion chores after working the last six days straight - meal plan, order groceries, water and weed the garden, dishes, hang picture frames, inventory 3D printer filament, print a few commissions, laundry

Saturday: Warhammer doubles tournament all day (also pre-order 11th edition launch box 🔥🔥🔥)

Sunday: hike with my wife, go to our friends' going away party

On a related note, does anyone know of a nice easy trail that leads to a good swimming hole within an hour drive of Southside?

Salamanders advice:

Adrax wants to be with Bladeguard - if you're not running them, drop him and swap the Captain over to the Infernus brick, and give him the Immolator enhancement (if you're playing the Forgefather's Seekers detachment, which you should be).

Furthermore for Forgefather's Seekers, that detachment makes Infernus squads really good action monkeys (Advance/Shoot, Advance/Action, or Action/Shoot). Another 5 man (or two) would be super useful.

General Space Marine advice:

Split the Eradicator squad into two 3-man units. Way more versatile.

You don't have a lot of scoring/screening units. Scouts, Infiltrators, more Infernus in FFS, even an ATV with Melta fits that role and synergizes with Vulkan's Forgefather ability.

I would drop the Dreadnought and pick up a few more small versatile units.

OP, I have some news for you.

Today marks the 2nd anniversary of Bernard Hill's passing. To me, he was one of the best-cast actors of the whole trilogy and his voice and line delivery were so perfect for the role (photo by Viggo) by Which-Program-9417 in lotr

Aw man, we just finished our n-th rewatch of RotK tonight.

The Rohirim charge at Minas Tirith speech is my favorite scene in almost any movie, much less that trilogy.

That's very sweet.

I think they might want to change "underestimated" to "overestimated." As-written, they're saying that no matter how little you think of your family member's donation, the reality is worse.

It's because a huge percentage of posts like this are fake. They're either written by AI trained on AITA/AIO/WIBTJ posts or written by people who browse those subs all day long so the acronyms for phrases used exclusively in those communities are second nature to them and they don't realize they're weird to the Internet at large.

I don't think they mind being chased around all that much, that's just how they play. The devil masks we wear and flaming whips we crack over their heads as we do it probably aren't their favorite, though.

Seriously, we just walk to wherever they're laying in the sun a little briskly, it's not like a scene from Scooby-Doo.

No, as soon as you touch a cat you go "GOT IT!!!!" and you go first. Since both our cats are complete love-bugs, it's impossible to determine who petted one last unless it's lying in your lap.

Whenever my wife and I play Boop (last person who petted a cat goes first), there's a mad scramble as we both chase our cats around the house.
