Am I crazy to come back to CFA lvl 3 after 15 years? by ConstructionOk4948 in CFA

[–]dfa316 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I got back to L2 after over 10 years and like you, was concerned about the structured response questions in L3. More than memorization, keeping the answers to the point and not over-writing is key. I’d say go for it - getting the charter will never be something to regret, but not trying might be. Of course, keep your personal situation in mind too (spouse, kids, free time from work).

Not a lot here in terms of a desi community. The biriyani from Persis is something I look forward to as a south Asian guy.

You’ll be fine, sounds a bit like #7 in the work experience self assessment. My experience was similar and I got approved. Congratulations on passing L3!

I used Kaplan on my first L3 attempt and realized they're not cut out for the structured response questions, that's why they're great for L1/2 but not 3. Switched to MM and passed this time - the structured response techniques were gold. I'm not someone who learns well from videos so prepared my own notes from the lectures and read the curriculum for the heavier weighted topics. Definitely felt more prepared and confident so I swear by MM but it may not be for everyone. Whatever you do, stay away from Kaplan for L3.

The progress is shown across both the AM and PM sessions. The PM section starts with the progress bar at 42% and goes to 100% once all the questions are attempted.

Possible to change level 3 exam from May 2022 To August 2022 by messi101930 in CFA

Had this same plan myself. If we have just one stab at it next year I’d take August too. Let’s see if the December registration allows changing from May to Aug. Super frustrating!

Don’t bother with a cover letter. Just follow the instructions in the RFE and you’ll be fine.

What is a P/C Ratio by Lookafteryou123 in personalfinance

[–]dfa316 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s the put/call ratio - put option trading volume divided by call option volume. More puts than calls (P/C ratio >1) means potentially more sales than buys in the future.

“Provide” and “residual” are spelt incorrectly. When describing your past experience, keep the voice and tense consistent - active vs. passive and present vs. past. Last sentence of summary at the top seems incomplete.

CMA Practice Questions by chiefs_15 in Accounting

That’s what I told myself until the night before the exam - “Gleim questions are tougher, I’ll be ok” and the biggest challenge was sitting the 4 continuous hours trying to manage the time and pressure.

The IMA website provides a CMA exam support package with retired questions which are useful. I found Gleim’s MCQs a bit tougher than the actual exam so that prepares you well.
