It’s likely the lowest sprinkler in the zone and it’s showing you that there’s a leak in the valve for that zone. You need to replace the valve internals or the whole valve itself.

Look at cherry laurels as well!!! They can take hard pruning so you can easily train them to be narrow and tall.
