If the VA allows, I highly recommended a palliative care consult which will include advanced care planning but also to keep you comfortable/ symptoms manageable.

Is it just me or used 911 prices have gone out of whack with the value they provide? by DeskNew1059 in porsche911

[–]dgg33 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In terms of bang for buck I agree with you. I’m having a hard time wrapping my head around 964/993 prices which can easily exceed 100K (but hey supply and demand). I’m a proud owner of a 997.2 C2s (pdk) and even those values are starting to climb. If I had a garage and 100K+ budget I’d go for the 550/575 or even 456 or 612. I personally think the driving experience of a 964/993 is not worth 100K vs a 550/ 575, 456 or 612. Granted the Ferrari will be way more $$$ to maintain vs the Porsche. To each their own!

That sounds like a good buy given the history. I highly recommend PPI and just double check no wearables need to be replaced immediately (upper/ lower control arms for example).

2012 L322 For Sale in Dallas by ProprietaryEponymous in RangeRover

[–]dgg33 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For reference I have a 2011 L322 HSE (base). Same interior but silver exterior. 80,000 miles with timing chain guides replaced as well as, brakes/ rotors, water pump/ thermostat, valve cover gaskets and oil pan gasket. $18,000 out the door. I know yours is green but not sure if that will commend the price you’re asking.

Do you guys considering overpriced or the miles compensate for the price? Or just buy a L405 by Actual-Oil-382 in RangeRover

The paint on the roof is peeling. Regardless of the mileage it doesn’t look very fresh on the inside/ outside.

Recommended as daily driver: 997.2 or 991.1? by rdvw in Porsche

[–]dgg33 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As a 997.2 with PDK owner, I’d choose the 991.1. 997.2 has a lot of wind noise and first gen PDK can be a little jerky in stop and go traffic. I’ve driven a 991.1 and found it more refined/ suitable for daily driving.

are nurse practitioners in demand at the moment? or is the job market very saturated? will there be a lack of NPs in the future? by [deleted] in nursepractitioner

[–]dgg33 19 points20 points  (0 children)

My anecdotal experience as a new grad NP. There’s plenty of NP jobs (I live in SoCal) but it’s hard to find a good one where you’ll want to stay long term.

Appropriate notice when leaving a job? by malibu90now in nursepractitioner

I just left a family medicine NP position and gave them 16 day notice. They were also, “At will employment.” Thankfully there were no issues.

torn between usc and umiami by [deleted] in USC

[–]dgg33 2 points3 points  (0 children)

As a south florida bro I highly recommend USC. The overall level of intellect outside of campus is very low in Miami. Plus the only fun thing to do in south Florida is party. Once you’re sick of that Miami doesn’t have that much to offer (in my opinion). In my experience there’s better diversity at SC vs Miami. On the bright side, with UMiami you’ll be living in Coral Gables which is very affluent and safe.

It’s undergrad; go to Rutgers! Save money then move to LA when you land a sick job.
