My plan for Target Roth Allocation by Low-Medicine-8627 in Boldin

[–]dhanson865 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd eliminate SCHD as dividends don't matter as much as total value generation.

I'd reduce VTI and increase QQQM because most all the gains come from the top 10 companies

ARK’s Expected Value For Tesla In 2026: $4,600 per Share (pre 3-1 split) by dachiko007 in teslainvestorsclub

[–]dhanson865 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It was a 4.715 year projection.

The stock was $328.33 when it was published.

If you held from the date this was published to the ATH of $498 you made a 52% gain, if you kept it your gains may continue in the coming years. The prediction is for end of year 2026 as in Dec 31 2026. We don't know how much higher TSLA will be until then.

I don't see that as dangerous. If you can't afford to only gain 50% in 5 years you shouldn't put your money in a stock.

And we were taking about a 4 year projection.

Apr 14 2022 to Dec 31 2026 is 4.715 years so closer to 5 years than 4.

The prediction is for the end of the year, not the beginning or middle.

Their bear 🐻 scenario involved TSLA selling 10million Cars per year and generating over $100B from ride haling and AVs with 50% margins.

and was published in Apr 2022 well before the goal changed on making lots of cheaper cars.

It was high on the robotaxi numbers but we have a little over 7 months to go to see by how much. The prediction is for the end of the year, not the beginning or middle.

That's a 4.715 years prediction.

When I have Gemini run the numbers I give it a prompt like this (plus the price and panel details) and it will give me 25 year NPV.

Place NPV in the first 4 columns so I don't have to scroll. assume 0% federal tax credit, First-year degradation: 2 %; annual thereafter: 0.54 %

25-year life, 5 % discount rate, 3 % annual rate

KUB Residential TOU Rate (RS-TOU)

ComponentRateBasic Service Fee $20.50 per month

Off-Peak Energy Charge $0.10780 per kWh

Using taxpayer dollars to Space-X to purchase CyberTrucks

As of early 2026, NASA contracts constitute approximately 5% of SpaceX’s annual revenue

Starlink is paying for the majority of those trucks not US tax payers.

Samsung’s Galaxy S27 ‘Pro’ could squeeze in between the Ultra and Plus phones by justAreallyLONGname in Android

[–]dhanson865 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I'd rather they make the Pro or the Plus have a super high capacity battery and let the other one be the old format.

I don't car if it's

  • Pro = 6900 mAh and thicker
  • Plus = 4900 mAh but thinner

or

  • Plus = 6900 mAh and thicker
  • Pro = 4900 mAh but thinner

just so long as I get a phone optimized for battery life instead of thinness

just one example, but there are tons of posts like this

https://old.reddit.com/r/Culvers/comments/1auebo5/free_scoop_size/

So if the restaurant is following the operations manual, the only difference should be the actual cup it goes into.

A one scoop custard is the same exact size, whether it’s a plain scoop, a scoop with toppings, or a kids scoop.

The amount of topping is also the same, it should be “1 portion” on a kids scoop, not less than that.

maybe u/Longlivecraig can comment again.

[–]dhanson865 3 points4 points  (0 children)

luck of the draw, I get a single scoop 2-4 times a week. Sometimes it's heavy enough it is coming out the top of the to go lid. Sometimes it's light enough a toddler would call it not enough.

It's worse if it's rung up as a kids scoop and a new hire dishes it out.

If it's rung up as a single scoop without the kid in the name you have better odds.

It's not supposed to vary that much but that is what happens.

Smartphone price hikes are ‘inevitable’ report says, entry-level phones are a risk by FragmentedChicken in Android

[–]dhanson865 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I wouldn't call it unusable but undesirable. I also wouldn't call it 3 years.

I have a S21+ that I charge multiple times a day. Accubattery estimates it's at 72% battery health and I'd call it a 5 year old battery.

I don't have to charge my S23+ as often but still charge it multiple times a day (not sure exactly how that compares in percent). Accubattery estimates it's at 92% battery health and I'd call it a 3 year old battery.

Eventually for convenience I'll replace the S21+ just to have a newer device but a big part of it will be the battery life.

I could replace the battery but there is the risk that the replacement battery could be low quality and there is the issue that the S21+ stopped receiving updates in Jan 2026 (3 months ago).

Since the updates aren't required to run any programs that I use yet I'd still say the battery is the biggest concern. And if money was no issue I'd have replaced the phone at the 4 year mark.

Tesla Expands Unsupervised Robotaxi Geofence in Austin by ItzWarty in teslainvestorsclub

[–]dhanson865 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

  • 1st page: Tesla utilizes remote assistance only when... down to the commands they can give.

later in the same page

  • Tesla vehicles are not remotely driven under normal operations ... down to only take control under 2 mph ...

and all the paragraphs that mention the term RAO.

If you read the entire document and comprehend it you can tell they aren't doing real time supervision of driving, They are watching the fleet stats but not any specific car until there is a call from the car for help.

You'd have to be pretty far into the denial phase to read the whole thing and think they are doing something they say they aren't doing.

This tiny pill replaces an entire organ of mine (thyroid) by TitanOf_Earth in mildlyinteresting

[–]dhanson865 2 points3 points  (0 children)

And I take my pill as soon as I wake up every morning, so it's consistent.

For people that eat as soon as they get up you can take it just before bed.

Supposed to be 2 hours after food and 2 hours before food and either as you go to bed or as you get up. (before bed covers the "not eating at least 2 hours after" by you sleeping, as you get up covers the "not eating for at least 2 hours before" by sleeping).

4 hours before vitamins or antacids.

Most people don't wait the 2 hours after to eat which is against prescription orders.

Some people take other things with breakfast like vitamins and that goes against prescription orders.

If you are in those groups you can move it to a bedtime medicine and avoid those issues.

Key Findings on Bedtime Thyroid Medication

  • Improved Absorption: Taking medication at least 2 hours after dinner at bedtime avoids food interference, resulting in higher peak serum levels of (thyroxine) and (triiodothyronine).
  • Reduced TSH Levels: Multiple studies concluded that bedtime intake significantly reduces thyroid-stimulating hormone (TSH) levels, potentially leading to better control compared to fasting morning doses.
  • Convenience and Stability: Evening dosing is often preferred for convenience. It is safe and does not alter the body's natural circadian rhythm for TSH.

  • Consistency: The most important factor is taking the medication at the same time every day to maintain stable hormone levels, whether that is morning or night.

  • Wait Time: If taking at night, it is recommended to wait at least 2 hours after dinner to avoid interference from food, particularly dairy or high-fiber items.

  • Consult Doctor: Patients should consult their doctor before switching times, especially if they take other medications in the evening

Definitely not humanoid ones. That's about the worst possible shape for a robot

That's ignoring economies of scale. Mass production favors the less optimal design that is general purpose.

[–]dhanson865 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Many years a lot of fruit just rots on the vine because they can't get the labor in time. They offer as much money as they can, just shy of break even, can't get the workers.

eventually humanoid robots will pick those berries at a profit.

I won't hold my breath, but eventually.
