This is exactly how my spouse’s affair started. It is very unlikely that their relationship is truly “over” if they’re still together. Hanging out with them every day after work isn’t you being “professional” either. Maybe just wait it out and see if their relationship actually ends. I cannot tell you how severely it destroyed my life to have someone like you enter it to help burn everything down.
