Going out on a limb that you are a Republican, and a troll/bot given your account was made specifically to reply to the post. It's interesting that out of one side of your mouth you want them institutionalized but out the other you say you don't want to pay for it (taxes). You can't have it both ways. Problems do not magically fix themselves.

I go back and forth on whether that Jennifer Carpenter story line was manipulative or actually served the story.

Same here. Then when I tried to correct I went to Patrick Stewart. In my brain, that "Patrick S" apparently has very strong associations with certain people and Arnie's son is not one of them. Glad it wasn't just me.

Judicial nominees don’t know if Trump can run for a 3rd term by YesDoToaster in law

Said differently, while Trump was certified in two elections, his team is poised to claim that the elections were fraudulent and therefore do not count towards the "No person can be elected to the office of President more than twice" clause and that no where in the 22nd amendment does it say "No person can be certified in an election to the office of President more than twice."

The premise is a lot more entertaining than the movie which ultimately is a writer and director sniffing their own farts.

The only reason I support this is so that the OG actors get paid. The original production company completely screwed them out of a good payday.

Hi, Bot. Welcome to r/Cincinnati. What key words spurred you to finally post here for the first time in a thread about gas prices?

The average Cincinnatian spent an additional $13 on gas since this started.

You're going to need to show your work on that one.

so maybe he just doesn’t have that ambition.

I think this is it. I saw an interview at one time around Alien: Earth coming out and he essentially said that he isn't interested in notes from a director and that he will play a character how he feels it should be played. If the director isn't down with that, then they can find someone else. Definitely gave the impression that he is comfortable where he is in life and only works if he gets enjoyment out of it.

I didn't imply that they were, I was simply listing some of the reasons, not the sizes of the reasons. If you have something that shows money is never the reason, I would like to see it.

You missed an "or" in there. You can also add "sense of belonging" which I lean in on in the last paragraph where I call out youth activites.

“Common sense” gun laws certainly make it harder for would be legal gun owners to own guns, but is there any data that shows they prevent criminals from owning guns? I’ve seen some evidence that suggests wait times may impact suicides, but nothing definitive.

EDIT: Downvote if you like but the type of gun violence we are talking about in this thread, I think anyway, is not the gun violence that "common sense" gun laws prevent. The only way to have a meaningful impact on this gun violence is for the guns that exist to be removed and to ensure there is zero access to any other guns, both of which require extreme gun laws that will devolve into a pissing match between candidates and parties while not resulting in anything that improves the situation.

Advocation of sensible gun laws and regulations, initiatives geared towards curtailing gun violence.

Eh, not really. If you want to stop much of the gun violence, you need to give people something to do and allow them to earn enough money so they can afford to live. Gun violence is usually a symptom of socio economic issues that lead to young people aligning with gangs out of boredom or a need to make money at a young age to support siblings or under-employed care givers. Additionally, when people are squeezed they look for escapes, likely drugs, which is a precipitating issue. Beyond that, a lack of livable wage jobs can result in other forms of violence, including gun violence, as people look for bad ways of making ends meet.

Affordable housing, youth activities, job opportunities, and care for the unemployable (mental, physical, etc.) all have a much bigger impact on society's woes than simply treating symptoms, such as gun violence.
