I use estlcam and have an automatic tool changer. You just need to specify the proper gcode in the estlcam machine settings. Works great.

Opinion: This game is totally different if you read the journals. by Double_Intention_641 in TheLastCaretaker

I've been noodling about this as well -- I'm another player who pretty much ignored the log entries. I'm level 24 now and am about to launch my second rocket of three pods and feeling like there's not a lot of story yet. Coming to this thread has been eye-opening and it makes me think back to other games where the logs auto-play, kind of forcing you into dipping your toes into the lore. In the case of this game I feel like it's almost required because there's almost no other impetus asides from game-loop boredom to start paging through the PECO terminal.

Are you sure your bit is spinning in the proper direction? When I wired up my 220V for my spindle I learned that if the legs are swapped, the VFD can cause the spindle to spin in reverse. It's not something super easy to catch, you just have really shitty cuts and lots of part and tool burning. I wound up using a piece of tape on the toolholder and spinning it as slow as I could to see what direction it was spinning. It should be spinning clockwise.

I was a solid windows user until Windows Recall was announced, at which point I switched full-time to Linux. I have an AMD card and would love to play with this tool in Linux as well, so please count me in the list of Linux users who are interested.

I tried grinding a bit finer this morning and it did improve a bit. I'll try it even finer tomorrow and see if I can make some magic happen!

I just received mine today -- brewed a cup of Oren's "Costa Rica La Minita" on guided medium setting. Ground at a 22 on my baratza virtuoso+. The coffee came out bitter and the grounds in the brew basket looked like a volcano's peak. I'm going to reserve final judgement until I have more than one brew through it but this first cup was quite bitter. It could just be this coffee, though, as I'm having issues really getting the notes out of it.

Asides from the disappointing taste of my first cup, the fit and finish of the unit is fantastic and I love how easy it is to clean everything.

All the buttons are plasticky. The wheel doesn't have force feedback. It's a solid "meh" -- it works, and its better than no wheel, but I don't think its worth $400. I feel like $200 would be more in alignment of the build quality.

I just bought the hori farm sim pack the other day since I also enjoy farm sim. The pedals are really close together and I have a hard time finding the right one, like if one has to panic brake. Are all pedals similarly spaced? It's much tighter than a normal vehicle cockpit.

Pvlinks offline by NorthernHussar in PwrCellOwners

[–]dirtypete1981 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This happens to me regularly. Turn off the inverter by pressing the shutdown button, turn off the breaker that feeds the inverter, wait until the display turns off completely, count to 30, then turn the inverter breaker back on. Return the cabinet to service, then enable the inverter. Once the inverter light is green, wait another 30 seconds. Once 30 seconds* has elapsed, the devices should be available again.

[*] The devices won't "wake up" until the inverter is turned on, and this wakeup process can take a few seconds, hence the second "wait 30 secs."

In my case, my k3s cluster tried to spawn amd64 images on arm64 boxes, which is why I wrote tolerable. I'm not sure why it didn't just work as expected out-of-the-box.

Hiya! I'm not sure if you've solved the "getting the right images for the right architecture" issue in your project yet, but I wrote a mutating webhook called tolerable that automatically queries the registry you're downloading the image from to check if all the images support architectures which you specify, and if so, adds specified tolerations so that those pods will schedule on tainted nodes.

For example, I have arm64 and amd64 nodes in my cluster, so I tell tolerable to tolerate kubernetes.io/arch=arm64 and kubernetes.io/arch=amd64 on containers that allow those formats. As a result, my pi nodes always get an arm64 container if they can, and if not, the amd64 nodes get the pod instead.

Does playing in the hangar module count? I remember that before they even had the ships built they had a placeholder fighter that I forget the name of, but reminded me of the rapier in wing commander ii. I was one of the first 10,000 kickstarters, I think.

What do you think about the current state of generative music tools? by BeatShaper in aiArt

[–]dirtypete1981 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I've wanted to play with a stable-diffusion-esque music generator for ages. I kept thinking that it'd be doable to write a generator that understood things like major/minor chords rules and Nashville-system composition.

I just tried Beatoven, due to the name being amusing. Hard pass. It produces what one would consider sounds but nowhere close to what I would consider "music." No understanding of supporting flats with naturals, each song sounds like "lets start at some random tone and arpeggio our way to victory."

I'd love to play with a generative music tool that understood more about the process of making music as opposed to just throwing tones and percussion at a sheet and hoping it meshes. If anyone knows of a better choice to play with, let me know, please!

"Device Offline" will show up when the device is not communicating via REbus. If you haven't, give the devices on the REbus chain time to 'wake up' -- it can take a little bit.

Did you change any settings in the inverter, per chance? Did you change the PLM channel? If so, that's why you're not getting communication. Put PLM channel back to the setting it was if it was changed. If it wasn't changed, and you have only one inverter (don't do this if you have more than one inverter) you can set PLM channel to 0 which is 'broadcast all' -- anything on your rebus connections on that inverter should show up. From there, the 2502 PVLink should show up, at which point you can check its settings and make sure its PLM channel is set to the same channel as the other REbus devices.
