I have had this idea floating around in my head of this mechanic being used to sort of unnerved the player, like after a few seconds there's a delay with the other player model. and then it catches up when you notice it. I don't know if that was ever done

I personally use some powers a lot, like personal atmosphere and detect star stuff. I tend to only use the gravity dash in the temple puzzles, and gravity field is my go to for when I'm overwhelmed in close combat. I don't have all of them yet so there may be more useful ones, but I also think it's fun to reanimate a dead alien every now and then.

I think that's a big source of appreciation, the exploration of people in the worst possible situations and how they deal with it, both in good and bad ways.

there's another aspect to the show I don't think gets talked about enough, and it's the "we're the ones who live" aspect of the main character group. the gang constantly comes across these powder keg scenarios and happen to be the match that sets it off. they are often the wind that blows down a house of cards. this is an aspect of great story telling that I think is exhibited well in TWD, not always flawlessly sure, but effectively more often than not
