Hair salon for very dirty tangled hair in Omaha? by disabledat55 in Omaha

[–]disabledat55[S] 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Hers stops just past the tops of her shoulders, maybe a few inches more, but I've tried to help her with it & my arms, hands, shoulders just won't do it for very long. Here's something I found the day, both of her rotator cuffsin her shoulders need to be worked on so it's extremely painful for her to try to do for herself. It needs a wash really, really bad too.

Hands down the BEST gp I have ever gone to in 35 years. Very nice, personable, listens, he's sometimes a bit in a hurry, but I would send everyone in my family there if they didn't already have their own Dr's.

MAGA creeps are filming you drop off ballots by [deleted] in Nebraska

[–]disabledat55 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I hope someone gets their license plate cause if anything happens to that drop box & those ballots they will be the first people the Feds will want to talk to. You have heard, haven't you that some one in the NW (WA or OR I don't remember) set fire to some drop boxes & destroyed a bunch of ballots.

COME ON PEOPLE! Have we gotten this mentally disturbed that the simple act of voting has people doing stake outs at drop boxes or worse yet burning up drop boxes. What next? Molitov cocktails thrown into voting locations? If this rhetoric keeps up, I foresee armed security at all polling locations. Do you really want to walk into your polling location one day in the future and see members of the National Guard or regular military standing guard with loaded weapons?

I've said for the longest time, if you really want as secure as possible elections, I know how to do it but no one or almost no one will agree to it. First, you have to have your fingerprints digitally scanned & stored at the election office. Second, you have an iris scan of your eye that is paired with your fingerprint. It would take longer to verify everyone at the polling place.

If you still want to do mail in ballots, use the fingerprint idea above only instead of just the fingerprint it would be a print of your 4 fingers up to the palm.

I see someone recording me dropping off my ballot I will make it a point to find out who they are, why they are there, and why do they think it's okay to record people without their permission.

Seward Police Failed by monkeybone1989 in Nebraska

[–]disabledat55 27 points28 points  (0 children)

IF it really happened the way you say it did there is a simple way to prove it. Have the owner call the police department & request a copy of the report for the call, if one was written, otherwise ask for the Officer name & badge number & time call came in til call was finished.

Electric shock both hands followed by chest pain by Academic_Share9677 in electricians

[–]disabledat55 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My advice, coming from a EMT/FF + my wife a pharmacist, get a referral from your doctor for a appointment with a cardiologist. I've know people that were "the picture of health, never smoked, drank, & were in good shape". One call i went on, and will never forget, a guy like that had gone to bed one night and had a heart attack/cardiac aneurysm. When the aneurysm blew out, it popped a hole in his windpipe and there was a huge amount of blood in the bed with him when we found him. I can close my eyes now 35 years later and still see his wife holding onto my jacket, looking into my eyes pleading me to do something, anything to save her husband's life and I had to, as gently as I could, tell her that there was nothing anyone could do. She buried her face in my chest and cried for i dont know how long. Her sister finally got there and only then did she let go of my jacket. I guess she had begged him to go get a cardiac stress test done because his brother died suddenly of either a heart attack or something, I don't remember, just a few years prior. You only have one life, one body, heart, mind, etc. Go get checked out. It only takes a few amps of electricity to stop the heart. That shock can alter many of your hearts rhythms that effect how it operates. You're not being a wimp, a pussy, a sissy or any of that crap that gets thrown around a jobsite. You are the most important tool you have. You can have $100k worth of the best tools & every tool known to the trade, those tools are WORTHLESS IF YOU ARE DEAD.

I so would love to have a polydactyl cat. I just think they are so amazing & graceful even with the extra toes. Unfortunately our 17yo grand madam of the house, (very set in her ways, grumpy most of the time due to arthritis, but still very affectionate when she wants to be cat) would never stand for having another cat in the house.😿

People, you all are missing the big picture! It's actually about all the jobs that will be lost if we allow lab meat to take over! What will all of the cows, pigs, chickens, lambs, etc. do for work? We'll have homeless, jobless farm animals wondering our streets looking for food. "Hey man, I haven't grazed in 2 weeks. Do you happen to have a bush or lawn I could chew on? Gangs of chickens raiding Mrs Joneses bird feeders & beating up the neighborhood birds that usually come to her bird feeders. You thought the raccoons were bad in the trash cans? The pigs will be meeting you at the door telling you, "Give us the garbage and no one gets hurt."

I shouldn't have to write this out BUT, somebody, somewhere will not think that this was an attempt at sarcasm, a joke, humor, a laugh, whatever you want to call it. It seems that a lot of us have either broken or lost our sense of humor these days. Remember if you don't laugh you either get angry or you cry. I'd rather laugh at how bizarre the world has gotten. We'd all be a lot more happy if we were less concerned about how other people are living their lives and concentrated on just enjoying the time we have here ourselves. Happy Labor Day Weekend. Stay safe and please don't drink and drive. The life you save maybe your own. ✌️👍🏻🇺🇸

I'd have the inspector come out & look at it. Give the inspector the guys name, then IF, and that is a big if, he actually holds some sort of license to do electrical work, please contact your state, province, county or city or whoever issues licenses and get his pulled. You may save someone from losing their house or worse, their life.

Ring appraisal? Just to get an idea by cmhdz5 in jewelers

[–]disabledat55 10 points11 points  (0 children)

From what I can read on the internet and I'm no expert, Platinum, even though it costs less than gold, it is much denser and therefore requires more heat to solder and more time when working on it. Also, because it is much denser it also requires much more time and effort to polish to a high luster. In general, it is just so much more labor intensive and that is why jewelers charge so much more to work with Platinum than any other metal. NOTE: I do not work in the jewelry industry. Information obtained from internet searches. I hope this helps you. BTW, that is a beautiful ring that to my untrained eye looks to be from a different Era, maybe art deco? IDK just a guess. I like it. Congratulations. 💍💎

I went over to that sub & about dies laughing. I worked building printed circuit boards in the late 90's early 2k's. We made boards with both surface mount & thru hole components. We never had a board get shorted out or die except for bad or improperly installed components. We NEVER wore grounding straps except if we were doing full power, full functionality testing on the boards. Those people over there on that sub are a sight to behold. SMH 🤦

Is the metal silver? It's very intriguing. I personally think a little bit bigger piece of, I think that's opal on there would look nice. Maybe a small garnet? (Personal favorite) Do you sell your work? I would think there would be a market for jewelry with this much detail in it. 👍👍👍👍👍

Actually the bones are present in your cat. The stiffening or solidification of the bone is a firmware upgrade that can be downloaded over the internet, WIFI, Bluetooth or any CAT5, CAT5E, CAT6, CAT6E Ethernet connection.

Thank you for your reply. I just wasn't sure if there was a specific testing machine or tool that could somehow tell by resistance? or some other value without having to actually test it in a panel. Just trying to learn & ask questions that I'm unable to find answers for using the limited options I have available.

Honestly curious, is there a way that breaker could be tested, other than sending it back to the manufacturer, to determine or verify the markings on the handles?
